owwwwww! I did that when I was 10 and it went all big and purple and the nail eventually fell off. I'm lucky it regrew okay and looks normal now...

I was distracted, looking up at the stars trying to find Orion and not paying attention to the car door. :(
At about that age I got mine smashed in the hammer of an antique rifle my cousin and I were fooling around with (don't ask ...). Fell off but didn't grow back properly -- has a ridge and sort of scalloped effect.  :(

I smashed my left thumb in the door hinge. Fortunately, it isn't as bad as when I smashed my left index finger with a car door, but I still got some internal bleeding and bruising. I'm left handed so I'm going to be uncomfortable for a while :(

Owwwwww!  :( I broke my right index finger in a car door a few years ago.  My mom said I yelled so loud that she had to roll down the window to let the scream out.  Good thing I wasn't planning on a future as a hand model.  :D

Flatmate just nagged me to empty my rubbish as the garbage men come tomorrow.

She also just transferred the outside rubbish to the front bins, without bothering to close the door. I wasn't frozen enough already, thanks.

My mom accidently slammed my hand into the car door once many years ago.  It hurt really bad, but nothing was broken.  I think she still has nightmares of me getting her attention and then wiggling my fingers at her through the door.  lol

I did not get the "winter blues" at all over the winter months.  Now it is March and yesterday and today I felt sooooo cold and it's been so grey and blah.  If it weren't for snowdrops, crocuses, and daffodils starting to bloom I'd think it was December.

That's kind of a "Part UP, Part IA".  :)

I've been feeling anxious and fragile and not on top of things for the past few days, culminating in a mini-breakdown last night until my husband was able to calm me down. My friend says it definitely sounds hormonal to her, but never having had hormonal issues before in my life (never had PMT, etc), I can't really tell. My next appointment with the gynae professor is next Thursday, so I hope I can rein in the crazy until then. at least this dept is listening to me when I tell them things are very wrong post-transplant. :(
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London

July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!

Thanks everyone :) The thumb's condition is improving, thankfully. I can press down lightly without too much pain, but my thumb nail is bruised and it will take a long for that to grow out. I need to stop being so clumsy  [smiley=doh.gif]

Current IA: My IR essay is stagnant and won't write itself and I can't dwell on it for too long because I have three others to research for and write.
09/29/09--Visa Approved!
10/05/09--Leave for the UK!!!
06/15/12--Back in the US indefinitely...

I had multiple bad dreams last night, and I've been worried that I've been sick. They felt like they were telling me to go to the doctors, but then something bad happened so I'm a bit worried. *sigh* what to do what to do! Darn bad dreams for trying to tell me something, why couldn't i tbe good dreams with just a sign? lol

Having to email my ex to ask him his town of birth (I forget what it is!) for my citizenship application.  At least we are on good terms with each other, but still....

edited to add:  I guess it's an IA and a UP now since he got back to me really quickly with the answer.  Glad I checked because it's not the town I was thinking it was.
