Ouch...so much for friendship. Even when I was renting from my parents (my old house) and I was late once & they gave me a 3 day notice to pay or quit. 'Business is business' is what my mom told me. Sorry to hear your friend isn't living up to his end of the deal.

That's unbelievable news, Squirrelly! They've been pretty much suggesting swine flu is over ... and you had the combo shot. So sorry it's messing things up for you -- but, yeah, meningitis is worse.

I'm so uncool with my lurgies, hahaha! "Swine flu is just SO last season!" :P

So now I've got an extended 7 day course of Tamiflu plus a bunch of amoxicillin to take in addition to my usual meds. And the only thing keeping my cough in check is the codeine cough syrup. I cannot stress how much I love that stuff! Blissful, blissful uninterrupted sleep.

I feel physically ill from stress and money worries today.  Between my flooded flat and my insurance not paying for the downstairs damage and an estimate of at least £2500 to fix my car (which I hope the insurance will pay for!)- Make that £4000 to fix.  :\\\'( :\\\'(  I loved my honda.

I feel like puking.

Plus, I have a check up today with my rhuemy and my blood pressure is going to be through the roof!!! (I can feel it pounding in my head)  :-\\\\

Boots that don't keep out the cold even when wearing 3 pairs of socks.  I'm so ready for winter to be over.

Hope the car insurance will come through at least. Things like that make you want to just rewind a week or so.  :(

I was in a daze when I came in.  Sorry to hear all this!  Honda's are great and very safe.  At least it did it's duty by you!  I hope you can argue your insurance around, but who needs this crap at Christmas!

Uuugh! Feel better soon, Squirrelly!

Gosh, this the second person I've heard of this week with a swine flu diagnosis. So much for it being "so last year". *shrug*

I have been living here since 15 September and BF has still failed to change the Scottish Power, Virgin, or Sky bills so that it has both of our names for a (hopefully) potential future UP visa.  I have become my mother and have nagged him every week and I get nothing but, "No worries, I'll do it tomorrow morning."  Not to mention he's weary about getting a letter from the landlord because he's scared he'll make us sign a lease!

All I have is the council tax and my bank statements for the few months that I've been living with him, and with my new visa looming I'm worried there won't be enough evidence to show for the time before the 2 year duration of the PSW.  Which means in 2 years' time, we could be cutting it very close with having enough evidence for the beginning of our living together.  UGGGGH.

Fortunately, I think I spooked him enough to get his butt in gear.  I think he's finally understanding the gravity of the situation!

I hate stressing about a possible visa a few years from now, when I haven't even gotten the chance to finish stressing about the one I'm applying for in a couple of weeks!  ::)

Just an FYI NoseOverTail, but Virgin and Sky would not let us put the bills in both names.  It had to be one or the other and I could only be added to their database as somone who could contact them in case of problems.  It was soooo annoying when I was applying for my ILR.   >:(

Thanks!  I loved my honda- she was an awesome car.  Insurance company has been quite helpful already, making sure we were OK and because I bruised my knee pretty good - wanting to make sure I didn't need any medical treatment or physio.  So hopefully they'll be helpful all around.  :)

Thanks for the heads up!  I had read some thread on here about Virgin being a problem, but I wasn't aware of Sky being an issue.  It really is frustrating, isn't it?

We just paid Scottish Power yesterday but no one was in to take a call because of the snow.  I'm having him call again tomorrow so at least my name will hopefully be on the next bill.  I will not rest!  :D

Of course, all of this could be in vain with the way the visas are changing.  I have visions of them upping the requirement to 3 years and then being up the creek anyway!  ;)
