...sigh...

I'm going to be stuck, sitting around the flat all day waiting for the letting agent to show up to do his quarterly inspection. Has it been 3 months already?  :P  :-\\\\

Well...I guess this should go under IA/UP as they showed up just after 12, so the day is saved..not that I have anywhere to go or anything to do since DH is going to pick up the groceries instead of me dragging the munchkin out in the rain  :)

Now both girls are home sick.  The 9 year old has been off of school since last Wednesday-this morning I made an appointment for her to see the GP again as she just isn't improving.
Guess what-they think now she has the flu.   ::)
Would have been nice for them to diagnosis (and take a swab) last week as she may have been given tamiflu.  But no, better to let her feel like utter crap for over a week.

Sympathies!! Are they at least swabbing the second girl now, even though it's too late to treat the first one?

Oh geez. My grandmother had that years ago. How treatable is it these days?

Mine does this when I get sick too...I just put Aveeno on it and it feels so much better.

My mother had it too (although she was older  >:() and had to have daily eye drops. From what I've read I may have to give up night driving and my sports (!)

My mom had it, too -- with daily drops. I strongly suspect she was older than you are.   :P

Do you know which type it is?  If it's closed/narrow angle (the less common type), I can dig up her specialist at Mass Eye for you.   :)

Thanks, Ophinky. Have not had official diagnosis yet -- just mumblings of not liking look of optic nerve, etc. The pressure is in normal range though but guess it's possible to still have it.

BD- fingers crossed for good news!

My IA: I can't get my iPhone (which I bought here then jailbroke to use in the UK with an O2 sim) to bloody work with a pay as you go AT&T sim now. Ughhh.  Now, if only I had an iPhone angel...  [smiley=angel.gif]

This is the third time my dh has booked holiday at his job and for the third time, they are asking him to change it or amend it.  ARGH!!!  We've already cancelled one week in July because of this and he had to fight to keep his time off in September so we could go to America.  This is getting ridiculous.  Every time he gets holiday, they want him to change.  And for six months this year they wouldn't even let him take holiday.  We might as well live in America if we are never going to be allowed to take holiday.   ::)

My mom has glaucoma. She has daily drops she has to do (morning and night i think) but she can still drive at night (when my father will let her) so maybe if they've caught it soon enough and treatment starts you'll still be able to do your sports and driving.

Just 18 more hours to go...eeeeeep  :( I just need to write 1000 more words for one of them, which will involve me needing to rewatch a two hour long film and then do a few hours of citations. Ugh, but I know I'm going spend loads of time polishing the other two. If I can keep up the momentum, I shouldn't have a problem, but I just want them to be done finally!

Trying to find decent mittens for my boys. You'd think it would be easy but it's not.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

My bottom wisdom teeth are shifting and the back of my mouth is all hurty. I was at the dentist last week and he said here in the UK they leave the wisdom teeth alone unless they're a huge problem. These suckers do this to me every 3-4 months. I understand why babies are so cranky when they're teething.

People who think they know more about how the country I live in works than I do!!  OMG... I actually live here, have held a job here, and have been an active member of UK society since 2006!!  ARGH!
