Being very tired and tried to go to bed at 11pm ended up on my laptop till 230am!

I've done that nearly every night since dh has been on holiday.  It's annoying!

I'm at work and have nothing to do.  Seems pointless.

Stupid ex and stupid child support and his 'world revolves around me' mentality. I'm at the end of my rope. :(
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I have to go to work tomorrow which is an inconvenient annoyance in itself but the main one is that I know I wont be able to go to bed tonight. We've been staying up late and waking up late since Thursday and I know I will only get a few hours at most of sleep tonight.

Somehow I've managed to tweak my upper back and shoulders, no idea how, and I kept waking up last night with both my hands and arms numb to the point of pain.  It's making me crazy today, I just can't get comfortable.

amsterdam airport security claimed the hot fudge my sister was bringing me was liquid and confiscated it!  At least the Annie's Mac and Cheese made it.

My meringues look like puddles on a baking sheet. So much for my first attempt...  :(

I was supposed to go to my friends' for a small New Years Eve party. They just found out today that the husband is going to be laid off by the end of January because the company is closing their NY office and the wife is a law school student so that's their only income.  They decided to cancel their party and while I certainly understand why, now I have no where to go for New Years Eve.  I was bummed enough that BF didn't make it over for the holidays, now I'm extra bummed that I don't even have anything to do.  Most of my other friends are coupled off and if I invited myself somewhere with them, I'd just feel like a third or fifth wheel.  The friends who canceled the party told me I could come over and hang out with just them if I wanted but they're not going to be in a really festive mood and it doesn't sound like much more fun than staying home in my PJs with some popcorn and netflix.

I'm sick, at the time of year that seems the worst time to be ill. And I don't want to be sick for much longer as I can't stand being alone for NYE and sitting at home reminiscing. Stupid cold, why do people have to go out when they're ill and get other people sick? :(

Sorry for those with the NYE blues!  It would be nice to have a date for New Years but I have a ChillyWilly, and you can't beat that.  ;D ;D

My IA: Jet Lag!!!! I've been up since four a.m. and I have an erm *mumble mumble* social engagement this evening and I don't want to have to go home at 9 p.m. because I'm too tired.
