1.  I banked £10 of *my own money* along with the takings from the shop yesterday!  As if I don't give them enough of my time for free already!  ::)

Hopefully, if I go into the bank and explain it Monday morning I'll be able to get money back.  The slip should show a total of £10 less than what is actually in the envelope.  *sigh*

2.  Getting a creepy fb inbox message from someone I don't know (virtually, or in real life) who fancies himself quite the silver fox.  No, I'm not that easily flattered.  I really should check my security settings!

My IA: It seems like a lot of companies here are bad at replying to their emails.  I thought, well maybe it's just me, but no, DH is having the same experience.  I am pretty tired of sending emails to companies in which they never reply back. Worse is I send second or third emails asking them to please reply back with information (DH as well) and I never hear anything. (These are for places that no phone number is provided. Usually the ones with numbers provided will say that they will call me back or email me and then never do.) I guess I don't know how people can run a company like that. Is this a British thing or what? The company I used to work for I was on several email groups and was getting an average of about 400 emails a day, plus I was swamped with other work. But I could always find time to reply to people.  It wasn't some poetic response but they got the info they needed!  [smiley=dozey.gif]

We have to go to the MVA again this morning. We spent 4 hours there on Saturday trying to get my husband's driving license only to be originally put in the wrong queue, then told, because of a whole host of things that he might have to redo his permit test again. Not his driving test, even though you need to pass the permit test to do the driving test, just the permit test. It's all mind blowing. This is going to be a great time.

Woke up in so much pain this morning from women troubles that I was sick and then nearly passed out in the kitchen. If it had been any other day this week, it wouldn't have been too much of a problem because I work from home, but I have a dermatologist appointment at 10am. Ugh.  :-\\\\

Fingers crossed it is easily solved, Andee. Surely they will see by the slip that too much went in, as you said.

Yikes! The mind boggles at some of the things they come up with. I still struggle to understand why if you go to the license branch for your plates, they do the paperwork and give you a paper plate, then send the info off so someone else can send you the real plate. Isn't that double the work, and paying two people when they could just have the original person give you the real plate to start with? Online is easier these days.

Poor you! Feel better soon!

Mine is the age old gripe about packing and unpacking. That is the only part of moving that I hate. This time it is only 80+ miles, not an international move, but it is the packing and unpacking of boxes that seems to be the hassle.

I have an auntie who doesn't see my mom much (one summer every 2-3 years)... between that and ME not seeing my family much, auntie is getting VERY outdated info about me.  :P  And she's acting on it.  :P

I've gotten an email from her encouraging me to do something I had already decided to do.  :P  I had brought it up to my mom over a year ago as a possibility and now, over a year later, it's been passed on to auntie who is too concerned about it.... especially since it doesn't affect her and it's my decision.   ::)

Realizing the last few emails have been about stuff she's heard/read wrong on FB, I wish she's mind her business or ask me directly rather than hearing stuff second-hand or relying on outdated info.   ::)

Heat. Oh the heat. Whine and moan about the heat.. poor me, etc. It hit 102 today. I had a hard time pausing in my whining about the heat to take time to remind myself it is hitting 120+ out west. We've had a mild summer so far, which makes it feel so much worse. How I miss my English summers!

Thank you!  :) Felt much better after about an hour. Certainly not a great way to start the day!

And good luck with the move! I hate hate hate it, so I totally understand!

Annoying next door neighbour who parks her car across our driveway.  I know we don't have a car but visitors find it useful to pull in there.  One visitor tried parking just behind her vehicle but then got shouted at by the cow on the other side because he was slightly obstructing her garage.

Good luck with your move! :) We are now in the waiting to hear stage. They are doing a background check, which sounds like it isn't very in depth at all, and then we will know. The only 'real' stumbling block is someone else was wanting to look at it, and we have to get the deposit in before they do, to hold it. We didn't expect to need it, so we didn't have the cash on us, we didn't have the checkbook on us, and they don't take debit in the office. So it is the mad dash to get a check to them as quick as possible. They are 80 miles from here and I work tomorrow, so we will have to mail the check in the morning and hope for the best. This place has a gorgeous lake view, is a five minute trip from hubby's job, and we really want it.

The place is currently occupied so we couldn't move in until about the 27th anyway.

Just went to post something at the post office (which isn't terribly convenient to our house), then stopped at the grocery store to pick some stuff up. Not a big deal, but when it's 92 degrees and you have to drag a 23 lb baby in and out of the car, it's more of an occasion.

That's not even my IA.

Got home and found a notice that there are two parcels for me at the post office. It's dated Saturday, so we forgot to check the post between then and now. Also, forgot to buy eggs at the grocery store.

Annoying.

It's hot. It's really, really, wretchedly hot. And not only is it hot, but they burst a water main yesterday so now everyone in the Downtown area of Jersey City has to boil their water before drinking/using it, including me. This makes my third floor apartment even hotter. Ugggggggggh.  [smiley=bigcry.gif]

Can you get some kind of chemical to make the water safe instead of boiling? That sounds pretty unfortunate. :(

Our (2-year-old) shower is rapidly going to pot.  The pump's been wonky for months and plumber is getting a replacement (past it's warranty of course).  Just noticed one of the curved slidey doors is off it's trolley in two places.  Also the drain is clogged again and difficult to clear.  And the water temp. needs adjusting on boiler (but DH still too poorly to attempt any DIY)
