For the last few minutes, I've been watching a show on Netflix (I'm having a lazy day) and my husband has sat down next to me and proceeded listening to Youtube videos on how to fix an issue with my car. I appreciate him being helpful and looking into what he needs to do with my car....but does he have to have it playing without headphones RIGHT next to me while I'm watching TV.......?

Two options:

1. Bring him a set of headphones if you have them already

2. Ask him to look up headphones on Amazon when he's done with the YouTube video

Option 2 doesn't require getting off the couch.  ;)

haha he definitely has headphones (we literally have multiple pairs), so it's not for lack of money! I was giving it another minute before looking at him and saying "Really?!" but he moved before I had a chance. The other option is to just turn the volume up on the TV lol

Got yelled at today by an angry customer... for something that is simply company policy and totally not my fault. I just do as I'm told. It's absolutely disgusting and vile that some people think they can get away with treating employees like dirt. Who do you think you are? I am NOT good with confrontation... so I was happy to see that grumpy you-know-what leave!

Don't worry, Kharma will come back on that person.  If you are so out of control that you are yelling at customer service people, then you are due for a beat down from society.  He'll soon get arrested, humiliated or possibly even get his butt kicked by someone.

Some take "the customer is always right" way out of context and way over the top....to the point they feel it means they can be a sh*tty human being.

Ugh.  Our flat is being sold (we're moving to our new place at the end of this month) and we have been REALLY accommodating with the viewings, even showing some people around when the agent doesn't show up for unknown reasons, or allowing them to come at 7pm for a viewing, etc.  The agent knows very little and relies on me to answer questions about the bills for this place, the neighborhood, etc.  If I worked on commission I'd hustle more than he is, but whatever.

Today he rings the bell for a viewing that no one asked us for!!  Then he claimed that the office spoke to my husband on Friday, and I was THERE when my husband answered the phone and they only asked us for one that afternoon.  We said yes even though it was only about 7 hours notice.  They did NOT ask for 9am today and yet showed up.  The people viewing didn't show up so it didn't happen, but I'm really annoyed.  Usually they email to confirm and they definitely never emailed me, so I think they were trying to pull a fast one.

I think I was a little rude to him but I was SO confused and put off by it.  Honestly he was lucky I was awake at this point; I certainly wasn't dressed yet.

That would infuriate me. At least if you're going to wake me up/inconvenience me, do what you came to do!!

Wondering if they made a "booking error" in that they either got it wrong on their notes (hence why you weren't asked) and it was supposed to be another property or the estate agent was just a muppet and got it wrong.

Sorry--the agent showed up, the people did not (this time--it's been the other way around a couple of times, which tells me that this agency is TERRIBLE at organization).

MPI, you must be so over the entire situation!

At least you'll be out of there in a couple more weeks.  ;D

Wishing you a smooth move!  ;)

Thank you very much!  I have tried to be really nice and give them what they need, but you're right, I AM so over the whole thing.  This is our home for another couple of weeks and they're taking advantage of my patience.

I got a really long splinter in my butt today... I was sitting on a wooden picnic table and I slid to the side and my jeans must have caught it.

It was embarrassing cause it happened at work...

My husband had to pull some little bits out that were still there when I got home.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
