Owwww :( I have it bad w/ EDS, but that I think is definitely worse. Do they ever use a wheelchair to have less time on their feet?
No and to be honest, I don't think it would make a difference. They would get blisters as toddlers after being in a stroller all day when they had shoes on.

It's just something they deal with the best they can. She hasn't even done a ton of walking. Yesterday she was on the train all day, today she was on the train all day. She might have walked 2 miles in 2 days.

And being in a wheelchair would kill her spirit.

Does she wear special shoes or socks?  Something to reduce the friction as much as possible?  What about footwear made from Moleskin?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moleskin

What happens if she walks barefoot, such as at home?  Does just the act of walking (friction against the floor) cause blisters, too?  This sounds dreadful, and I want to fix it!

We've tried everything over the years but there is no fixing. It is genetic. It has something to do with the keratin missing something.  Her brother, dad, half sister and cousins all have it. Between all of them and the doctors appointments/dermatologist appointments the best course of action is treating the blisters after they form so they don't get infected. And that is the real horror show. She will have to cut all that skin off tonight and walk tomorrow on raw skin.

It is just friction regardless of how little friction there is. Her soles and heals are pretty calloused and thick now but the blisters continue to grow.

That is so frustrating.  And it sounds painful.  I really wish there was something to be done for her.

I know.  I've watched her and her brother suffer all these years but in the big picture we are so lucky that it only affects their feet.

It could have been so much worse or even fatal.

With several hundred square miles of Oregon's forests on fire, the air in Eugene is truly awful. The Air Quality Index is 195 at the moment, worse than Beijing. For comparison, Glasgow High Street is 23. Visibility is very low, I know there are hills a couple of miles south of us, but they haven't been visible for a couple of days now.
Thank goodness global warming is a Chinese hoax or we would be looking at more of this in the future as the bark beetles destroy the forests.

I've just spent £35 in the American sweetie shop in town.

It's been taunting me for weeks (I can see it from my office window), and today I just caved.

I forked over £20 for a giant (3-pound) bag of peanut butter M&Ms.  The rest was wasted on Hostess Crumb Cakes, Fritos and Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-tarts.  And a Charleston Chew.

I SWEAR i'm going to get back on the keto wagon once this lot is gone.  I am actually ashamed of myself.  :\\\'(

But you can get Resses pieces in Tesco.  Are the M&Ms that different?

Good choice on the Fritos

Peanut butter M&Ms have both chocolate and peanut butter in them.  Reese's Pieces are just "peanut butter".

They are made by two different confectionary brands, so ...

OH MY GAWD!   This video exists!  It's perfect!

Yeah it's more that there are people that I've spoken to that don't realise that it's two different types of peanut butter mixes. They know it's not produced by the same companies, but they just assume that peanut butter filling is peanut butter filling.

All right JFKimberley, I think it's time for you to go outside and take a walk!  How much of that video did you actually watch?  I got through the comparison of the two yellow bits
