My daughter's have cancelled their trip to Barcelona. I was going to meet them there. We all decided it is just way to dangerous of a city to visit right now.

They are coming to Scotland instead in just a month! I'll be able to spend my daughter m's 22nd birthday with her!

Really?  The election is over, the only thing that’s left is general terrorism and that’s the same anywhere.  In the unlikely event Basque separatists get bomby again, they aren’t going to bomb Barcelona.
I guess we all gotta decide for ourselves.

They are only 18 and 21. They would rather not take any chances. Plus there have been some terrorist activities there too.

We spent the day planning their new itinerary. They will be flying into Inverness, we will be in Edinburgh for a few days then they will head up to Dundee, Aberdeen and then back to Inverness.

They can go to Spain next year.

Are there things to see in Dundee and Aberdeen?  Can they take a ferry from one of those places to Europe?

Of course there are things to do and see in Dundee and Aberdeen. They are both great cities.

And no, no ferries to anywhere really from the east coast unless they wanted to go to Orkney or Shetland. But nowhere to Europe.

Well, if you get round to Inverness stop into the Rose Street car park and say Hi!

I won't be with them in Inverness. I'll be back at work but I plan on making a trip to Inverness sometime soon because I've never been and it's one of those cheap rail tickets if you book in advance.

Sorry for that tragedy Albatross.  I’ve given up on the UK style fruit loops, they taste like cardboard as well.

Remember I posted that box of fruit loops with marshmallows in it?  It was amazing.   I’m saving my pennies for another box.

Thank you for your heart-felt sympathy.

I remember you posting about a Lucky Charms lookey-likey... I went out and bought some, and they were great!  Need to get to B&M again for some more.  They had Lucky Charms and Marshmallow Mateys right next to each other on the shelf, and from what I could see, they were almost identical... except in price!

I'm going to a wedding in Dundee this weekend.  Slightly dreading it as Dundee was so crap the last time I was there... but that was 25 years ago, so hopefully improvements have been made.

Not a lot I can say about Aberdeen apart from: don't go there if you're looking for strong hoppy cask ale.

They will only be in Dundee and Aberdeen one night. My daughter works for Hilton so she gets a great employee discount at their chain of hotels.

Here is a new annoyance.

My Tesco delivery just came. I ordered too much frozen food and it won't fit in this rinky dink freezer. (I only ordered 5 bags of frozen vegetables) so I'm going to have to cook it now. I was looking forward to just laying on the couch for the rest of the day.

We bought a separate small freezer and it's still pathetic compared to what I'm used to, so I feel your pain! Everything here is just so wittle!!

I wouldn't even have a place to put a freezer. Hell, I'm out of cupboard space for groceries. My canned beans are sitting on my couch because I really don't know where I am going to put them. I've had a bag of pantry items from the Asian market sitting on the floor in the living room because I don't know where to put it.

I'm tired of this wee flat. We have seriously outgrown it. My bedroom in the US was bigger than the whole flat.

I need to get a full time contract at work then we can afford to upgrade to something bigger.
