Really?  The election is over, the only thing that’s left is general terrorism and that’s the same anywhere.  In the unlikely event Basque separatists get bomby again, they aren’t going to bomb Barcelona.
I guess we all gotta decide for ourselves.

I was  wondering "what was wrong" with Barcelona. Thanks!
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I wouldn't even have a place to put a freezer. Hell, I'm out of cupboard space for groceries. My canned beans are sitting on my couch because I really don't know where I am going to put them. I've had a bag of pantry items from the Asian market sitting on the floor in the living room because I don't know where to put it.

I'm tired of this wee flat. We have seriously outgrown it. My bedroom in the US was bigger than the whole flat.

I need to get a full time contract at work then we can afford to upgrade to something bigger.

I would be more than happy to store things for you, it would be a pleasure to help out. I could ship, or you'd have an excuse to come north!

You can store all my groceries? Lolol. I'll just buy more and be in the same predicament.

Just FYI, I bought the fanciest Mielie dishwasher possible on EBay.  PITA to pick up, I bought a freestanding one instead of integrated so it won’t fit under the counter, and at the end of it’s first cycle it blew a fuse and now has no power.  We are washing dishes by hand!

I’m not taking it back and we budgeted in a service visit  but we’ve still got to wait a while.  I’m going to start taking it apart soon.

Surely it wouldn't be something you'd have to budget in? if it's already blown a fuse, surely it's an issue they need to look at free of charge??

My annoyance for the day is asthma. Mine had been under control for quite a while, but because of people who like perfume too much in my office it no longer is. Not being able to breathe once I'm in fresh air is so crazy frustrating!

I hear ya on that one!!!  Or having someone nearby light up a cigarette, which means I then have to leave (or find a spot up-wind)  even if I'm in the middle of a meal or a conversation  or risk a full-blown wheezing episode, pulling the rescue inhaler (which I don't seem to have one of here, hmmm, better fix that) out... and I don't have asthma, just very reactive to cigarettes and some kinds of perfume.  >:(

This is completely a spoiled person annoyance. We've moved and there is no high speed internet at our estate just yet. We are lucky if we can stream a video on Netflix, Amazon etc. loading webpages takes ages. And it only works if one person if using the internet at a time. It is so annoying! I know there are worse things in the world but going into winter where we're forced to be inside more it's an annoyance.

And we're to cheap to get a tv license and tv subscription when we can watch online so that rules that out

It’s complicated.  We bought it from a private seller and I don’t want to drive all the way across London to bring it back.  Plus, unless the repairs are insanely expensive, it’s still a good deal.

Hand washing dishes is no fun.

Shows you how silly my wife and I are.......we had our dishwasher taken out...we both prefer to do dishes by hand. A lot quicker.
