You don't keep fruit juice on hand for diabetics? Surely that's better for them than coke!

Glucose tabs would be even better.

Coca-Cola, Fruit Juice, Glucose Tabs, Lucozade, frosting, gels, gummies, Skittles ,etc, etc. Sugar is sugar and if you're hypo they all work.    If you're feeling crud from a hypo, the best thing you can have is the sugar you actually want to take or are able to take.  I've seen kids who struggle to chew glucose tabs when hypo, so liquid works much better.  You're not worrying about vitamins and minerals when you're dropping low, you're worried about getting back up in range and feeling better.  Sugar is medicine if you have Type 1 Diabetes or Type 2 and on medication that causes hypos.

I've never had the old recipe.  But I was troubled by their decision to change recipe.  I drink Coca-cola, and I was afraid they would do the same.  I do not intend to use artificial sweeteners.  I really wish the government would consider unintended consequences.  I'm not convinced artificial sweeteners are any healthier, and by manipulating the market into using them, it may create a completely different health crisis... meanwhile, we don't even get to enjoy our favourite products.

(But at least Coke's plan is smaller packaging and higher prices while they stick to their original recipe.)

Exactly.  And now everything seems to made up with sweeteners and yet there is a lot of controversy about sweeteners role in obesity as well (let alone all the other controversy in general)

I can't claim to eat a clean diet by any stretch, but I do try to limit the amount of processed stuff I consume.  I knowingly drink Coke*.  But most of the food we eat is primarily the food, and not extra stuff to colour, enhance the flavour of, or extend the life of the food.

I don't want artificial sweeteners confusing things and cluttering up labels.

* Coca-cola lists five ingredients, and only one of them is an E number (the caramel colour).  I'm comfortable with this.

Effing Southern Rail.

My dad is on his way here from Gatwick, and we live in Canterbury, so it would have been really easy for him to get the Gatwick Express to Victoria and change to the Victoria-Dover train that stops here (much closer than the other station).  Instead they sent him on a 'faster' route going to the other station, with 2 changes, and they only gave him a 3 minute layover!  Obviously the first train was 3 minutes late and the connecting train pulled away as they were running up.  He now has to wait a damn hour and then it's another almost 2 hours til he's here.  If they had let him get a ticket for the route I suggested (which I've taken a million times) he would be arriving in ten minutes.  But now he won't be here before 2.

He's only here til Saturday evening, and everything closes at 4 here, so that's pretty much it for doing anything today.

I feel you, I was going to Edinburgh Monday for work and all trains stopped after new castle due to signal problems. Then on our 2ay home we were thirty mins late causing a huge altercation between me and taxi company.  It’s so annoying sometimes, and definitely ruins plans.

This!!!! Bloody ‘immigration lawyer’ never stops emailing me after we used him for my fiancée visa in 2015. OH and I both told him we’re not using his services anymore but 2-3 times a year he emails. He can’t even get his info right, I’m no where near ILR. Not even through my first FLRM yet, and he got my fiancé visa way wrong. I’m lucky I was approved with the advice he gave.

Asked my husband to bring home sour cream. This is what he got... what even? He didn't know sour cream was sold in the cold section next to the cream.  What kind of savage am I living with?

He's on his way back to Tesco, on foot, in the pishing down rain to buy the proper sour cream.
