Ooo hope I don’t get the ‘curse’ now it’s been ages since we broke any. My gifted (wedding) dish set it down a plate and bowl or two

I'm rather glad I do not have any of my dishes with me after realizing this curse, but, I break plates like they're walnuts anyhow, I don't know how I'm so clumsy.

Protect your dishes!

STILL have on/off acid reflux and heartburn today. It's more mild than yesterday and I did manage to actually get some sleep in (which is positive) and I'm back in the office today.....but, and this is a first for me, I'm dreading drinking my coffee........

I do know that coffee makes it worse......but, as I've probably mentioned before (and I'm not proud of it) I have a caffeine dependency now so if I don't have it, I get migraines LOL....so I have to get the caffeine in me quick and deal with the fallout all at once or take slow little sips and prolong the extra irritation.

Never had it this bad or for this long before....Wouldn't be shocked if it were stress related or not helped by stress at the moment.
My, how time flies....

We have a Belfast sink, so most of our dishes get smashed in one way or another. We're both clumsy as hell.

I definitely get more reflux when I'm stressed.  Hopefully you can find some relief soon.

Could you use caffeine tablets instead while you're recovering from the acid reflux?

How about some coke? Too much sugar, but maybe just enough caffeine.

Do you think it's too fizzy?? Will that just make the acidity worse?

I'm experiencing a similar prob with acid.  I am keeping a bowl of melon in the fridge that I can dip into as and when needed.  I am the ultimate lazy person and get those plastic containers of melon (and grapes or whatever) and usually eat half at a time. This might just work for me, but have a go.

haha I am so lazy as well. if it comes to cleaning and cutting fruit to eat, I will leave it ages (until it's almost gone off and my husband is shouting at me) but if I buy a pot for more money, I will down it all in one go...OOPS.

I've been advised that bananas help with acid.  And I've heard that bananas make it worse.

I think it is whatever works for you.  The banana option is worth trying to see if it does the trick - simply because you just peel and eat.  Never underestimate my laziness.

Potatoes give me reflux, but chillies and pineapple are fine.  Coffee okay with me, but fizzy drinks like Coke mess with me.  So, yeah, it's about what works for you.
