How's the job search going?  I know we started to talk about it last night but were interrupted by new comers.  :)

Hahaha.... If you go by the number of recruiters who have contacted me you'd think it was great, but they contact - you reply, leave voice mails, and never hear from them again. Going through postings this weekend where I know a few of you lovely uky's and hopefully can get an internal referral for something in my field. I'm also signing up for University of the People to finish my bachelors, because I feel like I need to and that's entirely online.

Could you rent a vacuum temporarily? Or I'm sure myself or somebody in the area could let you borrow a vacuum if you didn't need it for too long. Could you speak to the landlord and tell them what you've found and ask them to have somebody come in and do a deep clean/vacuum??
He has the funds for it, we just have to pick one. I don't have a desk and my laptop screen is broken (needs a monitor to be used) and we had a hell of a time transferring my amazon account so for now all I can do is send him links and ask if he's bought anything. But I don't know vacuum cleaner brands over here so I trusted he could handle that one, I was wrong. I'm wrong every time I think he can handle something because he is British and knows as much as I do about most of these things. And that's why I need money so I can just take care of it all myself without getting stressed by repeatedly asking something to be done.

Can totally relate! I might have an extra computer screen you can use temporarily if you need one. It's old and just tucked away as I used to use it when WFH but I just don't seem to bother setting it up as I don't have a dedicated desk for it or anything. Not sure if that would be helpful for you at all? Like I said, it's nothing glamorous and I'm not sure if the spec will be okay for you as I know you need to be able to adjust certain things for your vision.

Oh, I have the screen. I don't have a desk. Or a table. Or any surface that can temporarily hold things.

I have a folding table you can borrow.  It's 6 foot rectangle, but folds to 3 feet to fit in the car.  Like this (but 6 feet and folds):  https://www.costco.co.uk/Business-Office-Supplies/Office-Furniture/Tables/Jemini-4ft-Rectangular-Folding-Table-in-White/p/137359

It's ok. I have about 9k USD coming soon but I hate being in this state of suspended animation. I found a folding desk I want on amazon (has to fold due to space limitations... I want a proper spare bed because of insomnia and weak immune system. So that will take up most of the side room when in double mode). It will be fixed but lack of sleep from the mattress BS and now bugs... Its too much. :(

Thanks... I think today's breakdown was enough that my husband finally realised there is no more putting off the small essentials like that. I can borrow from him til my money is here so that is what will happen! Vacuum will be here Sunday. (Shark liftaway for pets & allergies) *phew*

If you change your mind, just let me know.  It's just sitting in the garage.

My IA today is not nearly as bad or annoying as other people's for sure, but I am exhausted because my dog decided to howl herself as well as me and my husband awake. This was a PROPER wolf howl. In my disoriented state, it sounded like it was some type of air raid siren or something before I quickly realised it was her LOL.

I do not like my REM being disrupted.  >:(

I've thought foxes howling were some kind of domestic disturbance so I can fully relate to this IA!

oh man! When we first moved from Reading to Crowthorne (where there's a LOT more wildlife), we were like WHY ARE THERE CHILDREN OUTSIDE AT NIGHT (9:30PM) SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER?! WHY AREN'T THEIR PARENTS TAKING THEM INSIDE?! Oh....It's foxes..... (although we didn't know that for a solid chunk of time). It's definitely an adjustment there lol. It's still disturbing during summer when we sleep with the windows open.

Was definitely disorienting waking up to a LOUD AWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hah

And, just been informed that my husband, who's driving back from Westfield, that the asian restaurants in the food courts don't have any dumplings he can bring home for me to stuff my face with. How rude! hahaha  ::)

Foxes are bad, no doubt.  But nothing compared to the noise peacocks make.  People use to call 911 to report them (not realising it was peacocks).

Margo, I forget if your husband drives or not but if you need a ride or help carrying something just let me know.  You don't live far from me and I'm happy to help if I can.  There's also a Costco in between my house and yours so if you tell me exactly what you want I'll pick it up on the way.
You've got my mobile phone number from when I sent you my CV so don't be shy.

I don't think I've ever heard peacock noises! I feel I need to Youtube now lol

Thank you :) he doesn't drive, but car will happen when I have the funds from the house sale. I debated whether to pay down US debt or get a car, and car wins after the past month. He will have to start as a new driver but hopefully he picks it up quickly! I'll have to check out Costco, it may be worth a membership if its that close for stocking up on some things. I'm really looking forward to finally getting to IKEA as well! (the closest was an hour and a half away in Canada so I was always a bit stressed going there back in the states.)
