I'm really frustrated with the company that delivers my medication.
They were supposed to deliver it on Saturday between 12 and 2. So we went out and ran errands in the morning to assure we were home in time, got home by 11:30 and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Checked the clock and it was 2:30, so I checked my phone to discover it was dead. When I put it on charge and switched it on, I had a voicemail from BEFORE 11am from the company, saying that the driver was outside and waiting, and would have to leave if I didn't go down to meet him. So I called the woman back and said "My delivery window was between 12 and 2." And she said "Yes that's correct." And proceeded to argue with me continually that she most certainly called during that window and that's when the delivery arrived. I told her that no, I was here and waiting near the door for that entire time, so that was not even possible. But she never gave it up. She said "I called on my mobile, so I can check the time on there, but it was between 12 and 2," etc. I was so angry that I was actually shaking when I got off the phone, and put in a complaint to my MS nurse, and today to my normal rep from that company...
Fast foward to my scheduled re-delivery today, which was meant to get here "after 6." That's all they told me. But I'm guessing that since it's now 9:45pm and it has not arrived that it is not coming.
I am really stressed and frustrated, as I only have a 3 day supply left after today. It's really worrying that I could conceivably run out, when I have not gone a day without my meds in nearly a year. I shouldn't have to deal with this.
Update on this:
I complained again to the guy from the Royal London who deals with the company. He became very aggressive, and has threatened to take away all business from them if anything like this happens to anyone again... In short, they delivered my medication to my husband's work address today, sent me a bouquet of flowers, a managing director called to personally apologize, and he offered to pay for any time missed out of work for the matter (which was all talk really, because they knew it was delivered to DH's work). I then had a long conversation with the rep from the Royal London who is contacting them to schedule my next delivery earlier, so that I will always have an extra 2 week supply, instead of 1. There has been a lengthy audit (and it is still continuing) as to who messed up and what happened, but I know that the company is surely not going to mess with ME again.
My rep from Royal London though, I have to say, what a sweetheart. He is retired and only works Thurs. and Fri. and has been doing all of this during his days off work. He has been going nonstop for me for 2 days and has been so kind and helpful. I feel really grateful for the care I receive from the NHS!
