IA today... My job is managed by a very nice but terrible at communicating manager. I agreed to keep working part time in the move over here. I've been working 5-6 hours most days, and I usually just bill for 5 because it's easier for consistency. He expected me to be back to full time when I hadn't found a job here yet, without ever telling me that. That increases my tax bracket both places and leaves no time for job hunting, I don't want to do that! How can you assume things without ever speaking to a person?

I'm sure they'd rather keep you on as you are than fire you and have to find a replacement!

I offered a few extra hours for a specific project on right now if they want, but definitely not agreeing to FT permanently. :)

The baby isn't handling his MILLIONS of shots from Friday and is clingy, not himself, and has a slight fever.  I suspect I'll have to collect him early from nursery today.  Poor boy!  Breaks my heart.

We are still boiling at work.

I have a single eyebrow hair that is sticking straight out... what I wouldn't do for a pair of tweezers right now.

BUT THE MEXICAN FOOD TRUCK IS SUPPOSEDLY COMING TODAY!!!!!!!

Without a doubt.  It's 30C inside.  It's awful.

But they've just rolled in a few industrial portable A/C units.  It's scary looking!  I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to go change into the jeans and jumper I have in the car soon!!!

Can you get it with your fingernails?  I've been successful with this in the past.  It's not easy, but if you're persistent you can do it in a pinch.   ::)

They better not be lying to you again!

My eyebrows are in dire need of waxing so you can't look any worse than me! :p

Have you tried threading?  Oh my gawd, I love it so much over waxing.  It only takes the hairs, nothing sticks to the skin, so it's a lot less painful.  (But it still plucks the hairs, so there will be some pain involved, just less than the band-aid ripping feeling added in.)

NOPE! It hurts like a motherf**ker. I like waxing. It's quick and your skin toughens up so much it's like nothing. I've tried threading on two separate occasions and I swear the lady doing it was enjoying my discomfort.

Wow.  I had the complete opposite experience.  I'd tried waxing and my skin was all read red and irritated.  Then my then-roommate brought me to the woman who does threading, and it was amazing!  Plus, she understood what I wanted and didn't give me a constantly-surprised expression.

I just leave the brows natural... They aren't too bushy or unruly, and threading always seemed so painful.

I inherited my dad's eyebrows.  He had very generous ones, and so do I.  Yay?  I haven't had them 'done' since my last trip home in 2013, so i've just been tweezing the ones that are outside the main body of the brow... all the 'strays', just to keep it tidy.  But otherwise, I have an abundance of eyebrow.  Suddenly, I'm in fashion!
