So after ripping down all of my glazing plastic in preparation for this sudden window painting project arranged by my landlord---said landlord just rang to tell me the painter probably won't be coming this week at all (He was supposed to start yesterday and didn't show and now she can't get ahold of him.)   :(

Ugggh, that's so annoying- because that stuff isn't easy to put up either!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

It's not even that cold, but the damp and the wind is just chilling me to the bone and making my hips and knees achey.  :-\\\\

I've been slowly working my way through all the Innocent veg pot flavours and I've liked them all, but this Moroccan one is gross. It's a struggle to finish it.

The daal one was awesome though...

I wish they didn't all seem to involve spinach! :( Spinach raw is fine, cooked I find really gross (even in Indian food, and I'm not the sort to turn down any Indian food).

It'd be quite easy to pick out the spinach before you zap it - the leaves are sprinkled on the top. (I confess that I picked off a bunch of the red pepper out of the Mexican chili one. I merely tolerate peppers but will pick them off if I have the chance!).

1. Tummy troubles.  I never have a bad tummy and it's been two days of nightmare pain.  I know it's just digestion issues and not anything worse, and I'm hoping a bland meal tonight will sort me out.

2. People that don't mean what they say.  Just be honest with me please. [smiley=furious3.gif]

Specsavers has a sale on there glasses 2 for £69 thats just for the frames not the lenses as well. ;)  ::) so I asked how much it would be for 2 pairs in total I was quite shocked when she told for the 2 pairs I picked out which werent super expenive drum roll nearly £200. :o :P  then I asked if I could just get new lenses in my old pair of glasses which the frames are still in really good condition she told me they would charge me £40 to use my own frames & £60 for the lenses. I thought that was crazy charging me to use my own glasses frame. :o  ::) needless to say I left the building rather quick like an didnt look back either. ::)  :P

Shugga, I totally heart glassesdirect.co.uk - I think my last pair cost me £25 all in, and that was 2 years ago and they're still going strong!

Ugh, fighting tears as I type this (and I rarely cry)...

Got home after a lovely evening with cheesebiscuit and princesslemons, grab the pup and head out for our 5min jaunt to the nearest patch of grass. On the way we pass a HUGE staffie/bulldog looking thing who is leaping and barking and growling and generally acting very mean. His owner promptly starts yelling at me to put my dog (who has done nothing but look apprehensive and move even closer to me) on a lead. (I left the lead at home as he walks better without it, frankly, and it was a 5min walk.) Not having a lead, I grab Ace's collar and basically drag him past this giant mean dog, whom he's very reluctant to pass (with good reason).

On the way back, he refuses to even go near that dog, so we cross the street to walk home. Again, the owner yells at me (calling me a "doughnut"? "donor"? and a "spastic") to put my dog on a lead.

My dog heels whether on lead or off (on lead he also trips on the lead and risks tripping you up). He comes immediately when called. He is not violent towards anything (closest he gets is trotting in the general direction of pigeons/squirrels). And he's a giant chicken, so even if he did meet a dog like the one above off-leash, he would either lie down and hope not to die, or he'd run away home as quick as he could. So yes, I should have had him on a lead, but maybe the dog who's on a lead and is still behaving horribly should have better manners/training, too. (Not to mention his owner!)

Ugh, now my previously good mood is ruined. :(

Oh no! Are you okay, how's Ace? How scary, Ace wouldn't bite something if it was in his mouth, he stops when you cross the road! The scariest thing he does is try to lick your face and beg for more pets.

Sorry you had a horrible end to the evening, it was such a lovely funny evening as well :(

I'm fine, thanks (Ace is oblivious, once big scary dog was 10+ feet away he was all "ok, life is great again, mommy saved me!")...it's just...argh. My parents' dog is dog-aggressive, I get it. We never yell at other people to leash their dogs, though (unless their dogs are like "I must go say hi to the dog who obviously wants to eat me!", which Ace was not doing). And yes, Ace has very occasionally tried to beg for pets from people who don't want to pet him, but that's the worst he does.

Indeed, we should definitely do it again once we're both back from the US. :)

That's his stance. :P Apparently some people have this weird terror of dogs thing, including super cute and lovable ones. Who can say no to this face, though?
