Two are on holiday.  One is part-time and has left for the day.  Another doesn't work Mondays.  Of the remaining two, one doesn't drive.  The other is dieting for his wedding a week from Saturday and I don't want to tempt him with treats.  Less than two hours of no-snack-Monday to go.

The fruit bowl downstairs is empty.  I knicked an apple this morning but it's long been digested.   ;D

Oh, no!  :o I'm starting to panic a little bit for you.,I don't think I'm ever more than an arms length away from a snack! Sit down, breathe slowly,  you must conserve energy...

If not, order pizza.  Share it with the remaining lackey (not the dieting one, unless you get a vegetarian pizza).

LOL!!  What kind of diet is that?!?  [smiley=laugh3.gif]

Tenerife

More than a holiday resort!

We were higher than the clouds!

We have the hire car for 2 more days. I'm driving since they drive on "our" side of the road here. Not sure where we are going tomorrow but I'm thinking to the Loro Parque.  (Huge zoo)

It's really nice here but roasting! It's true... the sun is different here. I've been applying SPF50 but I'm already burnt to a crisp. I'll be buying a large straw hat tomorrow.

I can't wait to figure out where to holiday next year. Maybe Greece.

Yeah, I managed to survive a sunny afternoon here mostly just sitting with my back to the sun and a straw hat keeping it off my neck. That wouldn't happen elsewhere!

Greece and Cyprus are close to the top of my warm vacation lists.

I want to go to Greece/mediteranian area so bad! I would love to go to Santorini and stay in one of those very posh places with those private pools attached to your room...maybe when I win the lotto! ;)

An immediate family member just decided to get married with only a few months notice, and the wedding date is less than two months after my long planned trip across the pond. For reasons I won't get into, it's impossible to reschedule or cancel that trip, and the family member is aware of the inconvenience but isn't willing to reconsider the wedding date. The money I'd hoped to use to explore more of Europe this summer will now go to a second expensive overseas airfare.

Another family member cheerfully said in response to the situation: "this is what you signed up for when you moved abroad!" It's not quite what I had in mind, actually. :o Very happy for the people getting married but not the IA it's causing me!

Oh man...While I wouldn't request they change their date, I also wouldn't be throwing money out to be going there at such short notice. You must really love your family! DAMN.

Honestly?  If they set the date in stone and didn't consider how it affects you - they shouldn't expect you to be there.

But I know family dynamics can be very hard.  Especially around weddings.   ::)
