Going to follow up with an email today. The meeting was in person so now I'm wondering if they did that to not have a paper trail. (I made personal notes)

Yeah definitely follow up ASAP and hopefully they can help clear some stuff up.

Had a lengthy chat this morning. They took a full page of notes and asked some intrusive questions so I'm hoping I don't end up fired on the grounds they can't accommodate me. :( being disabled in a not normal way is so much fun.

From what I've seen here in the last 5 years, they absolutely couldn't fire you based on that as it'd be discrimination. The country as a whole, at least from what I've seen, seems to be having a massive push to be all-inclusive and accommodating to people will all different levels of needs in offices so I would be shocked if they fired you over it. I'm surprised they even asked so many intrusive questions! (and am sorry you had to deal with that) but perhaps there is some behind the scenes reason they needed that in order to help sort out what you're needing.

Excellent news.

My husband had an endoscopy and was told he’d be under general.  After they took him back, they convinced him he would be fine to stay awake.  He no longer trusts doctors.  I only wish I had gone back with him to smack him upside the head when he agreed!

Truly. I was "sedated" and became acutely aware of what was going on in the middle.... ewww.

If the meeting is about health and how they can accommodate you... There are supposed to be notes and you're supposed to sign off on them to ensure they are saying what YOU want them to say.

And I'm not surprised they asked... But you don't have to answer if you don't want to. My last role did the same thing about my depression AND my migraines. 🙄
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Yeah, I'm hopeful they do the right thing. I've struggled with their expectations this first week, but I'm also the first experienced hire they've had in my department. They usually hire graduates and train them from the beginning, and just assumed I'd know everything (even if it wasn't on my resume) due to being "experienced". I know my strengths and my worth, and they'll struggle to find someone like me in this area so I don't think they'd just let me go.

If they were to let you go, despite your knowledge, solely because of health-related requirements, that will look *very* poor on them for sure.

Fingers crossed for you!

Ahhhhhh. This is my first time trying to have a small kitchen garden and I thought I'd been doing ok. Nope. Explosion of tiny green bugs today, I think possibly spider mites? All plants are getting a bath outside and repeated over the next few nights.

I left my mint outside cuz I ran out of space and that's getting attacked by an evil set of caterpillars. Can't win!

Probably aphids. You'll want to get rid of them or they can seriously damage your plants.

Yeah, the worst ones got tossed immediately. The others hopefully I can save! It's just herbs so they are at least easily replaced.

They can be such a bummer!! You do need to be careful about water being on the leaves in direct sunlight as it can burn them (when trying to kill the aphids).

My MIL gave me a basil plant a few years ago and I think it came with aphids. The poor thing really had it bad.

Aphids are weird... They can reproduce asexually and give birth to live aphids (or lay eggs)

And and ants farm aphids, it's amazing!

If it makes you feel better, I gave up on having *any* type of garden this year lol
