The local shop didn't have an pain au chocolate or chocolate croissants.  >:( It's not like they're sold out, it's just that they haven't put any out yet and it's already 9:20am.

Sad! That happened to me on my birthday last year - they're my favorite breakfast food. (And so healthy, too. ;) )

Bummer! I'd share mine, but I'm a bit far away. (Plus I bought them last night, so they're not exactly super duper fresh.)

Hell, I'm living it up and my birthday's not for months. ;) We bought some of them on reduced from Tesco yesterday. I would gladly share if you were here!

I've spent ALL DAY working on assembling our US Visa Application packet for the interview on Tuesday. I have a monster headache from not eating anything and way too much caffeine...now all I want is a mound of Chinese food and for this stinking Visa stuff to be OVER WITH  >:(

Don't forget the envelope they use to return your documents! We almost forgot that and I was scrambling around to find one that morning. Of course envelopes in the measurement they suggested don't exist in Ireland.  ::)

Thankfully in London they make you use their courier service so I don't have to worry about that. I just need to make sure I have £14.50 in cash to purchase it.

The BF has been making the same god awful chili to eat every night and something he puts in it has a scent that catches at the back of my throat, sending me into coughing fits. He said he's out of the ingredients for his chili now, and I think I'm going to have to ensure it stays that way - otherwise I might have to threaten to move out.  >:(

Can you nicely tell him there's something in it that's not agreeing with you?

I *hate*  my mother-in-law's chili, I finally had to just say it (in nice terms) so now if she's making it and hubby and I are over her place, she'll make me something different.

It's almost all kidney beans (bleh) and enough chili powder to blow the roof off the house.  Even hubby says it's way too hot and he looooooves heat.  MIL doesn't even eat it!

Water is coming into our "finished" basement -- probably from the mini-meltdown over the weekend. The carpet in one of the rooms is quite damp in the corner of the room  >:(  and who knows whats going on behind the drywall. I have a horrible feeling this is going to be big bucks to fix and possibly a delay in my plans to sell up next year  :-\\\\

The crazy thing for me is that I haven't eaten any. It's the scent when he's cooking it that affects me. Someone at work suggested it might be roasting chili peppers, because she gets the same thing.

Your MIL's chili sounds insane - and how can she make something like that and not even eat it?! Madness.

Oooh, good luck on that. Tough on a kid.

My IA: DS has a rotator cuff problem and has to have physiotherapy. So ... guess who gets to do all the snow shoveling now?
