I am not a happy bunny today :(.

Got up at 3am this morning after only about 2.5 hours of sleep, arrived at the base air terminal at 3:30am in the snow, went through security, sat down in the departure lounge about 4:30am... and two minutes later, a tannoy went out saying that due to crew illness, the plane cannot carry passengers and will be flying back to the UK freight only... as a result we’ll be put on the next plane on Friday afternoon :(!!!

We had to collect all our luggage and now it’s 5:30am and I’m back in my room. I’m now stuck here for another 2 days and won’t be home until Saturday afternoon instead of tomorrow morning :(.

Only just getting round to this thread... I'm so sorry you were delayed, ksand!  I can't even begin to imagine how frustrated you are right now.  I do hope you're able to get back in time for your brother's birthday celebration, and especially to use your tickets on Sunday!

Nothing like fuelling your depression and anxiety by not being able to find the place your therapy appointment is.

Not to make light of it, because it sounds like you had to do extra walking and I know I would be exceedingly troubled by this with my mobility issues, but I think Alanis Morisette sang a song about this sort of thing.  I hope you were able to get your bearings without too much extra exertion...?

Nope. I was struggling to breathe the whole time because of the number of people smoking, was completely lost, and didn't get to the appointment even though I gave myself a lot of extra time. I hate this town. I want to go home. I'm so fed up with not being able to go anywhere without a lungful of someone else's *bleep*ing cigarette smoke. Wearing a mask is hot and uncomfortable and hurts my lungs pretty quickly but I'm gonna have to get a better one or I'll be permanently stuck at home.

Let me know if you want to meet for a coffee or something.  Even if you just want to invite me to yours so you don't have to go out.  ;D

I woke up to two emails from "security@facebookmail.com" with recovery codes to reset my Facebook password.  They were requested while I was sleeping.  Obviously, my account is secure, and everything is fine, but just knowing that someone or something was trying irritates the crap out of me.  Plus, it's put that little bit of doubt/fear in me, like, "what if...?"  So now I'm debating changing all of my passwords.  I haven't had them that long, and I'm only just starting to get used to them, though.  I hate cybersecurity paranoia!

Our IP address at work is currently based out of New Jersey.  So whenever I play YouTube, I get New Jersey Political ads. And they're ads for the political party that I don't support (at all). And they don't give me a skip this ad option.   ::) [smiley=bigcry.gif]

I tend to change all of mine - ones that have access to any really sensitive info - every other month, just for safety's sake. Fortunately, Avast has a security thingy that will keep track of them for me. So unless my Avast antivirus on my desktop gets hacked, nobody else should be able to access them. But yeah, it's unsettling when that happens!

Went to book parking for our Madrid trip after Christmas...  looked up my email for my flight confirmation to see which terminal.

Turns out we are flying out of Gatwick and into Heathrow.  WTF?  How did this happen?!?!?!?  DOH!

No, fortunately.  But it will require some rejigging.  We have a direct train to Gatwick from our town.  So if it's running after Christmas, we'll take the train to Gatwick and then get a car back from Heathrow.

Ooops.  Glad I realised it now and not the morning of though.

It's pretty straightforward to get between the two airports - National Express bus is a good option and pre booked taxis are pretty cheap.  Have done it so many times in my times in my life due to no flights and flight schedules.  But since you're pretty close to home, your options seem even better.

I can easily see how it can happen. So I don't think you're a dumbass at all!

Ick. I threw my back out turning off the shower. No idea how. But at least this isn't as bad as the time I ended up in the ER, throwing it out so badly I couldn't move without assistance while... sitting on a couch. At least I finally have meds so I'm hoping I can avoid an urgent care trip that I'd need to take a taxi to since my feet are too prickly to drive atm. (I know the point where I have to go get checked and get steroids but thankfully not there.) Currently grateful to have a husband that can bring me anything I need from downstairs.
