Why do others announce when they are leaving?  I don't get it....

Whatever the opposite of making an entrance is!  ;)

Oh, I don't announce that I'm leaving.  Just "leave group" and call it a day.  ;D

I don't join the group in the first place, so I can't say for sure.  But I do know that if someone has annoyed me to the point that I am cutting off ties to them, I would have to fight the urge to tell them exactly how infuriating I find them.  In the nicest possible way, of course!

Imagine telling KFDancer that they don't know what they are talking about!

I should imagine that some may live to regret that.

They want someone to beg them not to go. ::) ::)

That's so bizarre.
Facebook exists to mine your data and sell it on, anyway, so you're better off not on it.

Money maker, like anything else,  but it sure gives me great joy to be connected to family and friends around the world.

KFDancer, good to leave those groups. I find so many public groups infuriating.

Yup, I don't mind the connection bits.  There is so much I would miss out on people's lives who I genuinely care about, if I wasn't on Facebook.  But yeah, no more groups!

Facebook groups are of the devil (except UKY of course).

I’m very restricted on who I even friend on there. I can’t count the number of times someone sent me a request just because we worked at the same hospital together.  Not the same floor or anything lol. Uh yea no.

Serious IA: I'm so f'n sick of getting mansplained and treated like sh*t at work from my boss.

Not so serious IA:  I'm really needing to buy some new bras, but as soon you start looking online to see if you can find some locally or order online, it becomes NSFW.   :P

I've done it!

That's a shame, because  there would have been a lot of the silent majority who were gaining from the facts you were giving.

I feel cleansed!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You should have ignored the people who don't like being corrected. Why would you care what people like that say? ???  If somebody else was leaving because of those gobshites, what would you say to them?

I would have told them to run for the hills.  In fact, I told Tami to do just that in one of the groups!  lol!

People just hear what they want to hear.  My life is already improved.  I'm seeing friends in my newsfeed now!  Thank you Facebook algorithms.  ;D

Umm, so writing letters/emailing is out of the question? It's entirely more private.
