He went so far as to say they would take his license if he prescribed the meds! It was beyond ridiculous. Healthwatch contacted and complaint submitted. Hoping I'll have the meds I need sometime in the next week, I've been suffering 6 months, afraid to go in with yet another problem, and really need them.

Really "1st world problems" in comparison to others at the moment, but weve had a chunk of our stuff - specifically kitchen gadgets- packed up for months now as we were  meant to have been more than moved by now. One thing is my stand mixer. I'm really craving some cakes and wanting to bake as I dont have anything else happening this weekend but not having my kitchen-aid or even hand mixer out because it's packed away is really irritating me. Oh well, I hardly need the extra fat...but still. Grr.

Do you know where it is?  You can find it, unpack, bake and repack?  Or bake something that doesn't need a mixer?

Hah I have rough ideas if where it is but it's just so much of a palava for one use that I'm not sure I can be bothered with the hassle!

Oooo, when I went a couple of weeks ago they had new ones!!!  Totally bought them.  £20 a pack... so yes, I spent £40 on boozy Popsicles.  One is Mojito.  The other is Pina Colada.  Both are made with MALIBU.  And yes, I am 17 and LOOOOOOOOVE Malbu rum!

Is that something that you could make yourself to save a little money or do they maybe add something special to help the alcohol freeze?
You could always try.. worst case, you have a really cold cocktail!  ;D

For our last day in Porto we decided to rent electric bikes and ride up the coast.  My wife wanted a normal bike since she’s well hard and we are all wimps.

We were going up a slight hill and I told her that if she grabbed me I could tow her.  She did this, and just as I was saying “This is pretty dangerous “ our bikes tangled up and she went completely ass over teakettle!  Luckily, we were right next to the beach and within 5 minutes there were 6 lifeguards helping out and bandaging her bloody face.   Unbelievably, she was soon ok and after a cold drink and some tape on her broken glasses, we were off again.

Told you she’s well hard.  Now she’s got a massive black eye.

By the way, electric bikes are the way of the future.  Totally cool to pedal just as much as you want and pass everyone.

Forgot to mention that her rear derailer self destructed about 200 yards from the rental place and the bike had to be carried back.

We lost €20 of the deposit which was actually pretty fair since we did wreck their bike and could have actually wrecked the derailer as well. It’s unclear if it was actually their fault or ours.

Ouch!  I'm happy to hear Mrs. Jimbo is tough, but ouch!  Hope she heals quickly.  And what a fun story you can both remember your holiday by.

You came out of it unscathed?
