Hi there :)
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:28:44 PM »
oh man oh man am I thankful to find this wonderful place. I have been one massive stress ball ever since we decided for me to leave AZ and join my future hubby (well leagally my hubby but havent had the big day yet...im sure i'm not alone with that status  :)) in Bishops Stortford...

He and I met through mutual friends (he was the best man at the wedding of my really good friend) he was grumpy and English amd I was peppy and American. He made fun of our beer and I made fun of his accent, and the rest is history...well that and history being aided by a slight amount of booze and he winning the garter toss and throwing his tie at me and yeah...clearly another story.... we've gone back and forth visiting and skyping and running up a gigantic phone bill from time to time. We got married in AZ, have gotten a flat and now waiting for the "big day" (of course i want to wear a pretty dress) and to finally be together :)

We havent yet sent in the almighty Visa application just yet...that is coming in the near future... and until i get my passport back with a shiny new visa in it (hopefully.... eep!) I more than likely wont relax...

Again I am SO thankful to find a place where I am not the only stressball out there in this journey to join my husband  :)

Wish you all the best.  Good luck on the Visa application, and yes it is stressedful, but oh so worth it all.

Hiya!! Congrats on the new hubby and hope everything works out for you!!
We stole countries with the cunning use of flags. Just sail around the world and stick a flag in. "I claim India for Britain!" They're going "You can't claim us, we live here! Five hundred million of us!" "Do you have a flag …? "What? We don't need a flag, this is our home, you bastards" "No flag, No Country, You can't have one! Those are the rules... that I just made up!...and I'm backing it up with this gun, that was lent to me from the National Rifle Association."
