Weather Rant
« on: December 17, 2010, 02:39:51 AM »
My sweet pea is meant to leave the UK on Wednesday for a 4.5 week  visit.  We have had the absolute worst luck with delayed flights, snow, and that dumb volcano.  We got lucky last time he was here (September) when the door to the plane wouldn't lock properly and he couldn't get another flight until the next day.

I'm doing my best to try and be positive, baking Christmas cookies and finishing my shopping and all that.  But still, I'm terrified to get his call in a few days that there is snow, or demons ascending from the sky or something like that!

Spending so much time apart is already so depressing and not being able to guarantee that a flight that is booked will work out is even worse!

I hope nothing delays you two seeing each other any longer! When I was visiting my guy, I always hoped that my flight would've been delayed so I'd get more time with him :( no such luck lol.

Thanks.  I always hope that he gets stuck here longer, but if I got stuck in the UK I would just loose vacation time.  I work for a really crap company.

You're welcome :) Ah, see I unfortunately lost my vaca and paid days off as I took off a semester to go to London, sucks really, harder to save, with all the holidays I'm missing getting paid for this year, but oh well. He will be here in February, and I'm praying good weather stays our way.

His flight left an hour late, but it left!  I could just see him alone in London and me alone in NY.  It would have been horrible, but now he is on his way!
