Gift Exchange Virtual Holiday Party!!!
« on: December 21, 2010, 07:02:42 AM »
It's time to open your presents!!

Pour yourself a glass of your favourite tipple and join the party! Whether it's Buck's Fizz

or mulled wine

or just plain old coffee

(it is, after all, only 7am where I am!) - raise a glass and join in the fun!

I'll post some virtual nibbles later on!

So who has a present? Who's opening today? Sadly, I don't have anything yet but perhaps the postie will bring me something today. This weather has been a big problem, hasn't it?

Who's first?! Go on! Open! You know you want to!

I'll go first!
Unfortunately I had to go into work today so I only have 1 photo:

These fantastic earrings handmade by my Secret Santa Marlespo!
Thank you!!! They match my Christmas party dress perfectly and I can't wait to wear them with it this weekend!
I guess I must have been extra good this year because she also included these two handmade bars of soap that smell divine and a pretty holiday card from her etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/coffeebeancards!
This is probably the best secret santa gift I've ever received! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

No pictures, but I couldn't resist and opened them before I set off for the dat.  My secret Santa sent me socks! Which, clearly, are my favourite kind of winter present.  ;D my toes are happy right now!
I also got a copy of Louisa May Alcott's "Good Wives": one of my favourite books.

Love it!

What great presents, everyone!! Marlespo is indeed a very talented lady - I have a couple of the necklaces she's made as proof of that! The coffee frother device is cool! I don't think I've ever seen one of those! Will we see your socks later, Jennie?

Now who wants a mince pie?

Speaking of mince pie...here is a quick blonde/american story....On FB there is a store in Jersey called British connection (nice couple) we were commenting back and forth...she said don't eat too many mince pies and I said Ohh no something about a mini cold pie with ground beef sounds gross <insert howling laughter here>
Of course then I was told its sweet mince which means fruit...I felt so dumb but did laugh pretty hard.  I have STILL not tried one ;-)

I'm at the in-laws in the wilds of Norfolk now, so just stopping by for a quick one (Bucks fizz!) & I do love me some mince pie (the British kind!) - my grandma used to make the old fashioned kind with meat in them!! Yuck!

I confess I opened my pressie on Sunday as we were getting ready to leave on Monday. Thank you Santa Chary for all the lovely things!  ;D

The chocolate bauble lasted about - well not very long. Love the Lushie bits - those travelled with me down here for when I need some quiet time away from too much (in-law) family time. Can't wait to tuck into the tomatillo salsa (most likely on our upcoming self-catering winter break) & the Cornish honey - YUM!!!  As for the health benefits of Jerusalem artichokes (paperback) - well DH loved that but I think I'll take that under advisement - lol!!!

What a great Secret Santa package!! Thank you so much!  :-*
