 >:( I joined this website because I am a British person who has lived a large number of years in America and am shunned by my fellow countrymen as being too Americanized. To be honest, I prefer my Americanism, go-getter attitude I learned from my American friends and I miss them all badly.... Hoping to make some more American friends on this side of the waters. I live in Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire and if you are not far from me... can we get together for a coffee morning or even afternoon tea? Please????  :\\\'(

Hi Classicallady
I moved your post to the Welcome Wagon.

Welcome to UKY.  I am nowhere near Milton Keynes, but we have members who are. Hopefully they would like to meet up with you.

And stick around, we're a friendly bunch  :)

You're stuck with me!

Welcome to UKY...I'm up the M1 in Derbyshire or I'd take you up on the Coffee (I'm a Coffee Nut  :P) but I'm positive we have some UKY'ers near Milton Keynes, but being the holidays they're probably offline for a bit...hang about and I'm sure they'll be along.  :)

Hello and welcome.  I don't live in Milton Keynes, but my in-laws do!  I'm not sure when we are going down there again (as we usually see FIL in London or stay with dh's grandmother in Luton when we go) but if we're staying in MK for a weekend, I'm happy to have coffee if you are around. :)

Hi there and welcome to UKY! I'm in Harpenden, Herts, so not too far away. Feel free to send me a message if you want to meet up! I'm pretty sure there are a few people around this area, so we could always try to arrange a group meet-up as well.  :)
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut
