Why don't you further extend York & add Leeds onto there too?  Hint - they're very close to each other.  We have this cool museum:

http://www.royalarmouries.org/home

Or neat old pubs, Andee & MLG & I & some others are here, etc.  Or how about a Bradford curry?  ;D

Sounds good! How's the public transport between the two?

30 minute train, about £11 return.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Weee! So in addition to our cheap France road trip over Easter/Royal Wedding, we've now finally booked using the airmiles my in-laws gave us for our engagement present. We'll be going for our first anniversary! :/ (They gave us the gift just before I got ill and then wasn't medically able to fly).

With their accumulated airmiles, we've both got return flights on BA (pleasedon'tstrikepleasedon'tstrike!) to Budapest for a week in September, plus 3 nights in a super nice spa hotel there. Budapest is quite possibly our favourite city in the world and we'll be having our anniversary dinner at our favourite restaurant, Karpatia. And we're thinking we might take the train out to Lake Balaton for a few days while we're there (anyone been to Balaton that they can PM me tips?). So excited! Free holiday!

Costa del Sol! Cheap airfare out of EMA during 'royal wedding mania 2011.' wahoo. Any tips on the area would be appreciated.

Barcelona for 5 days for the Primavera Sound Music Festival
Nice!! The lineup for that looks really great - way better than Glasto's MOR snorefest headliners this year! I've seen a bunch of these bands live before (I used to get more freebie gigs and festival tickets than I could actually use), but I'd really like to see Glasser, Twin Shadow and PJ Harvey. You absolutely MUST catch Pulp while you're there, they are just fantastic live!

Yellowstone cabins are booked.  They aren't in the places I preferred, but then this is pretty last minute and they aren't in the hideous Grant Village.

Pulp is the main reason why Im going. (We're also going to Wireless in July to catch them) :D Ive never, ever seen them and so excited!
Ive seen PJ Harvey before and she was amazing, but this was back in 1995 and she opened for LIVE, so it be nice to see her again (especially when Ive heard her new material is awesome). Im excited to see The National,  DJ Shadow, Echo & The Bunnymen (though saw them last year at Tramlines) P.I.L., The Flaming Lips and Warpaint.

We're staying in apartment thats not too far from the festival and apparently it goes from about 3pm to 5am..

I wish May would come sooner! It just sucks most of the time there will be at the festival and only one day of sight seeing around Barcelona (Ive been wanting to go there since the 1992 Olympics)
