I've been posting on here in the last few months, but I never actually introduced myself. So here it goes!
My name is Lexx. I hail from New Hampshire, though I spent my early years growing up in Germany (my mum was stationed there.) I haven't really lived anywhere in NH for very long in the last 13 years due to going to boarding school, college, and moving about as young people do. Somewhere along the way I managed to get a BA in Psychology, and have taken all the non-nursing classes needed to become a nurse. I am a Licensed Nursing Assistant, and specialize in developmental disabilities, with a particular interest in behavior modification. I'm a member of MENSA.
I enjoy genealogy, cooking, reading, gardening, and crafting. To pass the time lately, I have been doing A LOT of cross stitching. I love to cook, and my hubby-to-be loves to eat.
I met my fiancee about 2 years ago online, quite randomly while playing poker through Zynga. We chatted a bunch, became friends, and started to Skype. Well, we grew fond of each other, and when he came to the US to visit at the end of 2009, we completely fell for each other.
I decided to investigate moving to the UK, specifically Scotland, on the condition that if I was to move over there, I would first have to be accepted to school for nursing, the next degree I plan to complete. In June of '09, I was accepted into the nursing programs at both the University of Stirling, and Glasgow Caledonian University. I deferred my enrollment in order to save money, since we decided to marry.
My fiancee is born and raised on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. We are looking forward to our wedding on March 25th of this year (fiancee visa pending,) and I plan to start the nursing program at the University of Stirling's Western Isles campus in the fall.
I can't think of anything else to say at the moment, but questions are welcome! lol
