What's the UK equivalent to a car title?

Hello -

I just paid my last installment on the car I financed 3 years ago when I arrived in the UK. So in the US the car finance company would send the car title over. What happens in the UK? I have a "UK Registration Certificate". Is this the same?

Hi,

Yes, the car registration V5 document, which should show you as the registered keeper, is generally taken as proof that you own the car.
