I had the same problem yesterday, and other FB users I saw mention also they were having problems. I use Firefox, but I even tried with IE and still no luck. Seems to be ok today though.

Quite annoying, since FB is my main way to connect with my friends back in the US  :(

You don't realize how much you miss Fb and keeping in contact with your family and friends until you are in the UK and it doesn't work for a day lol
