Hello all!
Very glad to have found this website and forum to begin my journey! I look forward to learning and eventually sharing knowledge regarding the ex-pat process. For now I'm happy to share anything that may be of use to other members of any locale!
I'm a motivational speaker and author drawing inspiration from challenges, journeys, success, and failure; both my own and experiences of others. I was born with a strong sense of wanderlust and it continues to motivate me. I've lived all over the U.S. and traveled extensively both domestically and in the Caribbean. I've traveled frequently in the western EU and would love to hang my hat in the UK in the future. I'm not drawn to the UK by a particular job or family ties as many ex-pats may have been. I'm drawn by a love for the folks with whom I've become friends over the years, the landscape, the history, traditions, sports, humour, etc.
I am fortunate to call my laptop (and available internet service) my 'office', and have the freedom of independence (no spouse or children, at least not yet in my 40 years of living

). I hope to incorporate those benefits into a future full of travels and new experiences and friends, and an eventual status as a 'UK Yankee'.
Today begins my journey and I am happy to be here!
Cheers,
