Greetings from Texas
« on: January 21, 2011, 03:28:14 AM »
Hello my name is Leslie. I am currently in Texas, but will be joining my husband of one month today in the UK soon. I just got my email saying my spousal visa application has been approved! :)
I'm just now getting around to introducing myself although I have been on here a bit gathering information for the whole fun filled visa application thing.
It took a total of 12 working days for my application decision to come through, not too bad considering I didn't have the priority service. I am now waiting for the UPS man to bring my stuff to my door so I can book my flight!!
I want to say that this is such a great site and is such a wealth of information and so helpful! Thank you to all of those who have taken the time to post. :)
Anyway that's me.....

Welcome, Leslie! There are a few of us Texans around here.  [smiley=cowboy.gif] I'm from Dallas and have been living in northeast England, between Newcastle and Scotland, for the last 2 1/2 years. I love it here! Where will you be moving to and where are you from?

Good luck with everything, it's such an exciting time! And welcome to UK Yankee, you will meet a lot of great people on here.  ;D

I am from Houston, but am now living in New Boston. It's about 160 miles from Dallas. I will be in the Nottingham area. I absolutely can't wait!!!!!!!!!  :D
I just got my passport back today and as far as I can tell everything is in order. I checked all numbers, dates, and spelling. It all looks right to me. I can't believe I got it back so quick! I can't wait to go home. :)

I live about an hour north of Houston, and New Boston sounds similar to my small town.  Welcome!

Hi there. I grew up in Texas, too, but I've lived the last 14 years in Colorado. Love them both for different reasons. I just got welcomed, myself, but people say to jump in, so WELCOME to you too.  ;)
