first time traveling with spousal visa
« on: January 23, 2011, 02:29:28 AM »
okay, I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies could tell me what to expect when I land in Birmingham on Friday? It's my first entry with my spousal visa and I am a bit nervous to be honest. Do I still go through the non-UK citizens line? Do the compare fingerprints to my biometrics? I'm going to be alone since my hubby is already back there. I know a lot of you have already been there, done that, and bought the T-shirt. :) So any advice or stories are more than welcome!!! Anyway thanks for letting have my nervous rant.....

As you are not a British or EU Citizen, you need to go through the non EU/British line. This won't change.

They may take your fingerprints, they may not...depends on if they're doing that process in Birmingham yet.

Just have your passport open to your visa page with your landing card & hand it to the Immigration Officer. They may ask you general questions to make sure that you received your visa through the proper channels & they may ask where your husband is.

It's not a big deal, just relax & enjoy.
