Shipping food from UK to US
« on: February 14, 2011, 07:58:47 PM »
I heard that US Customs is holding packages from abroad for longer periods due to security concerns.  A friend in the UK wants to send me some bottles of his favorite sauce.  I don't want them opened up and contaminated.  What is the quickest way to ship with the least risk of damage?  Anything particular to say on the customs forms?  Cost isn't important.

UPS is probably the best way to go. They have their own customs clearance facility so there shouldn't be any sort of delay. Standard service takes about 6 days.
