Hello - I'm from Indiana living near Manchester

Hello -

Im originally from Indiana and moved out to the North of England three years ago with my job.  I've actually found this forum very helpful with issues I've had with filing tax abroad, visa issues etc. and thought it might be a fun way to meet other Americans living here.

I have only stumbled across one other American living in the North since I have moved up here (at my work) and she is leaving - well only going to Liverpool.

I would love to meet other Americans while here since its nice to be able to feel a bit closer to home from time to time.

I am not really sure how much I am supposed to write when introducing myself - so I will just say that I am really happy to have found this forum and would be really interested in knowing of any other Americans who are in the Greater Manchester area.

I'm in Manchester! I'm from San Diego (originally), and I live in the Victoria Park/Rusholme area. I work at the University of Manchester (as does my husband). Welcome to UKY!

Fellow hoosier here!!! weeeee!! Welcome! We are a little over an hour from manchester, we <3 the kristy kreme there and always try to stop when we are there.

Hi There- Welcome...I am not too far from Manchester, in Cheshire- Crewe to be exact.
It has been awhile since we have tried to organise a Northwest gathering, maybe it is time :)

I'm not there yet, but I will be eventually :) My DF lives in Littleborough; I'll be moving there to be with him in November. Hope I can meet up with you all when I finally get there!

29 Mar 14: Rec'd biometrics letter (dated 27 Mar) and completed biometrics same day
11 Jul 14: ILR approved
14 Jul 14: BRP and approval letter received
2 Dec 14 - Eligible to apply for citizenship

I'm so pleased to hear that there are so many of us in the Greater Manchester area!  I was living in Sale but moved in with my fiance in Radcliffe in July.

I would definitely be up for a North-west get together!  I do not know too many people out this way and would really be nice to meet some fellow Americans!

Liverpool isn't that far from Manchester. I would love if there was a a Northwest meet up! I've been really wanting to get together with other Americans lately. Lets do it!! :D
