If you can listen to the speech being given by the President of Israel in Congress that is being given right now.

I don't think Israel's Prime Minster gets to vote in US presidential elections.   ;)

Not in person maybe but at the same time he has several million votes in the US for the US presidential election.

Well, you can see from Israeli politics that all Jewish people don't necessarily all vote the same way.  I doubt the Jewish people living in the US all vote the same, either.

there's something a little unsettling about the head of a foreign state speaking to the US congress and decrying US foreign policy while the president is out of the country.

Apparently, the code name Scotland Yard used for President Obama is an insult in Hindi.

I doubt there's actually any insult intended.  I'm posting this more for the fascinating explanation of the word itself.

If the President of Israel is decrying US foreign policy, then US foreign policy is on the right tracks. For too long Israel have been pandered to by the US whilst allowed to flaunt countless UN resolutions.
All Obama said was that the basis for talks should be the pre-1967 borders. Those are the last internationally recognised borders, not created by land grabs, so of course that is where any negotiations should start.

Congestion charge for the Prez!  :o

BJ's argument that the Pope didn't get charged because the roads were closed for him, while they kept the roads open during Obama's visit, makes absolutely no sense.

Tip of the iceberg......in dispute with the US embassy over unpaid congestion charges.

At the black-tie dinner that Obama threw for the Queen at Winfield House the previous evening, all of the guests had to be frisked by burly security guards.

Jim, you've got three of these "Obama's state visit" threads going.  You think maybe you could have just responded to your own post rather than creating a new one for every thought you have on the subject?   :)
