Where do you put a question about Clone Wars that knowledgeable statesiders will see?

Nowhere because everyone knows that the Clone Wars is an abomination.  ;)

Try telling a 6 y.o. something about abomination.

If not here, a serious forum where you can ask an informed statesider a serious question about Clone Wars?  Specifically about Ahsoka Tano?

Anybody?

I'd try posting the question to the StarWars sub-reddit:  http://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars.

There are worse things, I will admit.  Good luck!

I assume you will get your answers there, but I have friend who is crazy for Star Wars.  He might know, but is hard to get in contact with.  If they can't answer your question I can ask my friend.  If he doesn't know he belongs to a group.   :)

I have to agree, and I'm a Star Wars geek.   :-[

I am as well.  One of my all time favourite scenes from British television is from Spaced when Tim goes off on the person buying the Jar-Jar Binks toy at the comic shop.

Brillant!

Off topic, but Eddie Izzard's take on the Death Star cantina is great!

If you haven't watched all of Spaced Red5, you MUST BUY IT NOW.  Seriously, the whole series is probably about 10.00.

Good.  SW People.

The question has to do with a character called Ahsoka Tano, who is a totally brilliant character and has captured the intrigue of my 6 y.o.  He has, for example, changed his light sabre fighting style to match her oddly counterintuitive back-handed style.

Question:  Chronologically she became padawan during the Clone Wars.  It means there are 4 theatrical movies chronologically after the Clone Wars.  We see all the other characters in the 4 movies including minor characters like Luminara and a bunch of them like Secura getting wiped out in Order #66.  Plus the jedi with the green head tentacles and so on.  We can basically find everybody.

But we can't find Ahsoka in any of these.  Surely her distinctive blue and white Nemes would be visible somewhere in the fray.

And we have scoured the net and have come up with nothing other than a vague theory that she was away on a mission.  But 26 years over the course of 4 movies is too conjectural to be satisfying.  26 years?  It's just silly.  So we need a hint as to where she is.

Oh dear.  I suppose a 6 year old can't be fobbed off with Lucas has gone bat-sh1t insane and can't keep his characters straight.

I will admit this in very few places, but I used to be in a Star Wars role playing group much like D&D.  My friends in Glasgow still play. I can ask them and see if she turns up in any of the role playing books.

All we could ever find was just guesses from random people on the net.  The only plausible one being that she was on a mission, which can't be right.

For the interim, I was planning to tell my 6 y.o. that she was a collective hallucination induced by the midi-clorian imbalance wrought by Anakin and Sidious.  It totally explains everything...  at least until your friends see if there's anything 'official' out there.

Thanks!

Theories pouring in.  Or not, but here is one.

Derek Ritchie February 24 at 5:15pm Report
I would have to say that there are two potential answers to this.

The first is, that the Clone Wars is of course set before the events of Revenge of the Sith and Order 66 etc. Not seeing Ahsoka featured in that may be a giveaway that she's not going to make it to the end of animated series in one piece. Tough for the kiddos I know, but it's the kinda punchy Jedi sacrifice Lucas has gotten quite into of late! Prepare for tears whenever the series comes to an end!!!

The second is, that Lucas no matter how much he doth protest, does NOT have an overall masterplan for the Star Wars Universe, which many fans of the original trilogy certainly felt was made clear when the prequels came out! But that being the case, Ahsoka may not have been featured in Revenge of the Sith as he hadn't invented her then! And so, we may see her after the Clone Wars in the live-action TV series currently in production and designed to bridge the gap between Revenge and A New Hope. If we do, there will undoubtedly be some explanation as to her survival of Order 66 (secret mission waffle undoubtedly), and she'll trundle into live-action reality as though she's always been there!

I think the 2nd one sounds about right.  I'm grateful for your research, many thanks.  I'll now translate this to the 'interested party'.   :D
