I save and rent but unfortunately DF splurges and buys. So I get to then alphabetize them!

Splurge - I want something that is going to last.

Christmas
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

A bit of both. I am a total Christmas nut, but I do try to watch for sales on gifts and decorations.

Middle of the road. I don't go crazy expensive, but good enough quality to last.

Save.  I don't like scented candles as they are usually artificially scented (as opposed to scented with real essential oils) and are sickly smelling.  We've got a big bag of tea lights from IKEA that have lasted us 4 years so far.

Clothes you wear for work.

At the mo I'm still job hunting so my 'full time job' is job hunting and sending in CVs. When I am doing it from home my work clothes are pj bottoms and a tshirt. My last job in the States was managing a Subway. I had uniform shirts but had to buy my pants. I would buy them from second hand shops in new looking condition because no matter how hard you try, new clothes seem to get icky in a place like that - accidentally dropping something, or oil splashes etc.

Save, I don't mind buying Primark gift wrap, you can find cute patterns and its cheap.  I think doing up some bows with curly ribbon adds a nice touch though  ;D

For the most part it's been a save since I think tea is reasonably price everywhere.

Coloring/dyeing your hair
This is my one major splurge in life!  I no longer dye it myself as it was getting damaged and store bought color is flat.  It's OK when you're young but as we get older flat, dark hair looks awful.  I now get it professionally done with highlights and lowlights and my hair is getting stronger and thicker again (it was falling out due to severe anemia, but that's on the mend now) and looks a bazillion times better!

Save and use a bar of Dove, although I need to get back in the habit of using the good stuff.

Souvenir shirts from places and events.

Jeans/denim pants
Save as I've found all my current jeans at the charity shop--but they are nice / stylish ones from M&S, Next, Gap etc.  I tried getting new jeans from George at Asda but they just looked like jeans from a grocery store.  :P  maybe they're better now, that was a couple years ago.
