Save as I've been living off of samples from my old job for the past 6 years for the most part.  For my face though I guess splurge as I can't use just anything and was using Eucarin for a while (don't think it's all that expensive though).

Hair products other than shampoo and conditioner.

Save. We used to do a lot of walking, but now that we are here it has been too hot, but it is cooling off so we can get back into the habit. We both miss it, but there is something about 95-100f, with high humidity and extreme heat advisories that make air condition seem like a good thing. I've worked out to exercise videos in the past, but never stuck with them.

Latest fashions that you know will only last a short time but EVERYONE is wearing them?

Save.  If everyone is wearing them it makes me *not* want to wear it.  But if it's something I do sort of like, I can usually find something cheap in a charity shop to re-create the look or to accessorize something to bring it in line with a current look.

Bras (I'm pretty sure this one's been asked before, but it's a good one...).

Save. Even though I wear a sometimes hard-to-find size, I always look out for discounts/sale rack of quality bras. I own about 40! I'm a bit obsessed. I love pretty bras!

Save, only because of allergies. If they didn't make me sneeze, it would be splurge, splurge, splurge!  ;D

Halloween candy.

Save.  As you know, TamaMoo Halloween just isn't the same in the UK.  No-one in my area bothers with it and we never have any trick-or-treaters.  I may buy a bit for myself though.

Clothes that are just for work?

Save, by buying at charity shops. Anything I wear to work may or may not get food spills on it, so buying gently used at a fraction of the price of new is good enough for me.

Bathrobe/dressing gown?

Very true. Even though I knew we wouldn't have any trick or treaters on our street in the UK, I bought candy anyway, 'just in case' because I'd see a few kids dressed up around town.

Bathrobe/dressing gown?

Save.  Don't have one, don't want one.  I just wear comfy pj bottoms and tops.

Activities you do with your spouse / partner on the weekends (not counting anniversaries and birthdays).

Splurge if it is a concert/film/something we really want to go to. Generally it is save, though, spending time with friends at their, or our, house or staying in watching tv and films.

Bedding - sheets duvet covers, etc.

Save.  I have found lovely and nearly new duvet covers and matching pillow cases at my shop.  That plus what we already have and what MiL has bought for us means we don't need to buy anything new for a long time.

Holiday gifts for people outside of your immediate family.

Unless it is a good friend, coworker or part of a gift exchange with a set amount, save. I love buying gifts for people, but a person could easily go broke buying for everyone you know.

Craft supplies for a project you know you will only do once.

Save.  I don't do anything crafty at all any more.  I went to art college yet I don't even like to draw any more.  In fact I have art supplies I should either swap or give away.

Wrapping paper.

Usually save by buying the less expensive rolls. This year I bought some from my nephew's school fundraiser. It cost so much, hubby said we were going to frame it, and keep it forever, instead of wrap gifts in it.  ::)

Shoes in the latest fashion.

Splurge. I have had foot problems for a while now and I can't tolerate buying crappy $30 Forever 21 or H&M shoes that are made of plastic and have slippery bottoms. Now I won't buy a designer pair of shoes that are $200+, but I will shop around for a good sale and spend $75-150 on a nice pair of boots or shoes that are comfortable and well made.

luggage.
