luggage.

Save. It's gonna get the sh!t kicked out of it by baggage handlers anyway. We bought a large samsonite rolling number for more than we should have and 3 trips later it's definitely not the belle of the ball anymore. The cheap one we got at target? Holding up like a champ.

Hair dryers?

Save.  Haven't used one in decades--I just wash and go.

Save. We have three sets of sheets that were all expensive at the time they were bought, but are about five or six years old. Granted, for three of those years they were stored away because we were in the UK. They are still great shape but I intend to use them until they fall apart. We have a California King, so sheets with any decent quality to them at all are expensive.

Fingernail polish to match specific outfits.

Save.  My nails are short and unpolished.  I only do my toes and it doesn't have to match anything.

Lipstick.

Save, don't wear a watch, it would drive me crazy.

Toothbrushes (the fancy ones can be quite expensive!)

I have a wide foot and high instep which really slows me down on buying really cute shoes, so for that reason, save. Seems most of them are made for a very narrow foot.

Toys for pets.

Toys for pets.

Aww.  Save.  The cats in my life have had very minimal needs toy-wise.  Poochie's favorite toy was a shoe lace tied to a pink pom-pom.  Her second favorite was a catnip 'cigar'.

Dylan has Mr. Mousey (his best 'frien-enemy' and nemesis)which was given to us by a friend.  He never shows interest in anything else.

Hair salon visits.

Save. I have overly sensitive feet and can't cope with anyone touching them. I have occasionally 'tickled' them, just putting on socks or shoes.  ::) I paint my toes myself.

Hand sanitizer.

Moderately save--get the refills, but not the really big bags like they sell in the Asian markets as the flavour wouldn't last by the time we got around to using it all.

Sweets, cookies, etc.

Definitely save--just use the library.  I rarely buy books anymore unless it's something I want to keep for life and / or use as a reference.
