Save, by getting 'free' phones with a contract. We just made the leap today, and the phones will arrive in a few days. They are $399 phones that we would never splurge on paying full price for. Our last ones were save/splurge because they were $129 each which is cheap for phones these days, but still more than we wanted to pay. We just weren't ready to make the leap to a contract at that time.

I have never owned outdoor furniture unless you count a couple of folding camp chairs.

Stuff for camping.

Splurge on the stuff like a good portable cooker, decent sleeping bags, save on cooking utensils, dishes etc.

Outfit for Christmas 'do' (husband is boss)?

Save by picking the cutest pack of 30 for $2 at Dollar General. When I was in the UK I would get three of the 10 packs from Pound World.

Flavoured tea and/or coffee.

We don't do flavoured coffee, and for tea that's not the 'normal' variety like mint or redbush I just get Morrison's brand whenever possible, so save.

Shampoo / conditioner

Both - cheap stuff for day to day, but posh conditioner, if my hair is feeling rubbish.

Socks and pants.

Socks I tend to splurge on. I have quite a collection of socks, to the point hubby is ready to get me into a 12 step sock program. I have them for all the holidays, many, many character socks, peace signs, stars, butterflies,  etc. Assuming pants are underpants, I usually buy at Walmart prices, but splurged last year at Fashion Bug and bought quite a few pair.

Condiments?

Condiments?

I guess splurge as there are quite a few in the fridge and the cupboard, most of them some sort of hot sauce.

Save as I've never had one.  Seems a waste of money as I can easily paint my own toenails.

Alternative / complimentary medicine-type treatments like Reiki, Accupuncture, Feldenkrais, etc.

Save. My sister studied and was certified in Reiki, so I go to her for free abuse. I hate her that day, but love her for days and weeks after.  ;D I haven't gone for any of the others.

Old, classic movies, or more modern?

This is really both for me. I love a good bargain, but will spend a pretty penny or pence if you will on the ones that I really want to see or invest in ( bonus features etc..) I'm a massive movie buff and I'm incapable of choosing which era or genre intrigues me more- because they all do!

Fruits and Veggies (Veg)? Organic? Farmers Market etc?

Last summer it was from our own garden before moving and from a friend's garden once we got here. Usually a mixture of grocery store and Farmers Market in the summer, grocery store in winter. I usually skip the organic unless it is on sale, making it mostly save.

Bows or other 'pretties' for gifts of any kind - birthday, anniversary, baby shower, etc.
