Save! The only dishes I've owned were my grandmother's hand-me-downs. They served fine. Someday, I'd like to have my own stuff, but I'll still probably save and get pretty plain ones from Ikea, etc.

Travel accommodations (hostel vs. 5 star hotel)

Asked:

Holidays?  (like camping/hostel/staycation/etc vs luxury/

Can I say both?  There's nothing like chucking it in the the locals in a home stay for a few nights and then booking yourself into a 5 start hotel.

Er, sorry. I see it as slightly different, but in any case.

How about books? (Library/borrowing from friends/used bookstores/reselling online when done vs. buying the latest and greatest new and keeping them)

Err.. I'm 50/50 on this one, I normally borrow books- but I have to admit shamefully, I went out and bought the Twilight series in hardback. Don't judge me!!!

Pets!! Shelter vs Purebred?
We stole countries with the cunning use of flags. Just sail around the world and stick a flag in. "I claim India for Britain!" They're going "You can't claim us, we live here! Five hundred million of us!" "Do you have a flag …? "What? We don't need a flag, this is our home, you bastards" "No flag, No Country, You can't have one! Those are the rules... that I just made up!...and I'm backing it up with this gun, that was lent to me from the National Rifle Association."

Does it really make that much difference if a question has been asked already? I mean it will be different people answering them most likely. I don't really think this thread needs to be policed. It takes all the fun out of it for me!

Save

Christmas! Do you do it big? By for the 100 people on your list or make it simple?

splurge, most people have endless bakeware they don't really need, better to have a few good quality heavy weight pieces.

Save. I prefer silver to gold and simple to complex so that tends to take care of itself!

I don't really wear much jewelry, and I'd prefer silver over gold if I did wear more, so save.

Pens.  I know it sounds boring, but I like writing with nice pens!
