Living on the Lamb!

So- I've been chuckling to myself all morning about this. Thought I would share this with you all.

  I was dropping my eldest son off at school when I was stopped by his teacher who introduced me to the new teachers aide. After listening to me speak for a minute, the aide had a big smile on her face and asked, " Are you the American here on the Witness Protection Program?".........

.............."Um... Excuse Me?"

  His teacher looked so embarrassed, and admitted that when I first enrolled my son there was a rumor that the reason I was here was because I was running from the law. Later, after getting to know me a bit-   I guess it was decided I couldn't be running from the law, it must be the Witness Protection Program.

 Nope. Sorry, just boring old family reasons.  I'm just replaying the whole exchange over in my mind, and if I had been in protective custody or something- that lady would have totally just blown my cover!! :D

I think that is awesome - they moved you up on how much they think of you from law to being protected by the law!

I guess that does say something about my character. I could just be a ex mob wife trying to escape a bad situation. Sounds like something I would be involved in. ;)
