What kind of pots and pans do you use?

I have a set of Cuisinart stainless steel that I acquired one by one from Marshall's.  They're definitely going with me when I move back. I also have a set of 3 cast iron fry pans (3 sizes).

Like bookgirl I don't trust non stick...haven't use it in years. 
I use stainless steel and cast iron. 
Mrs R I have a cast iron skillet that was my Grandma's and Mom's-I wouldn't trade it for the world and will give it to my youngest daughter one day. 

We have some cheapo stainless steel pots and one Tefal non-stick frying pan.  I hate those pots, but I know I would probably like stainless steel more if they were actually half-decent.  I have a set of Rachel Ray non-stick pots and pans back in the US that I got as a gift for graduating undergrad.  I plan to bring them back here once we live somewhere with a gas hob, since they advise against using them on the crappy electric hob we have now.

I do get a bit weirded out about non-stick, from time to time, but they seem to be fine as long as you treat them properly. Though, I'll probably phase those Rachel Ray ones out once I actually get a chance to wear them out!

A friend gave me a relatively cheap set of cast iron frying pans.  I hated them for a long time, but after I'd been using them for a while and they became well seasoned, I couldn't live without them.  They are non-stick now and have the most level surface around with good even heat distribution.  I never thought cast iron would become my pan of choice for frying eggs!

I'm another with a hodge-podge of La Creuset that I love.  I also have a handful of the heavier duty ones I've just bought at Tesco that were surprisingly good for a mid-range.  I don't touch the cheap stuff as I'll end up replacing them quickly, but their higher end ones are pretty good.

They wash easy and nothing sticks BUT I also banned all metal from ever touching them.  Plastic and wood only ;-)

I cant seem to find them over here so I stink and can't help ;-)

When I arrived I bought a bunch of kitchen stuff from a departing Aussie. 5 years later, the 5 pots I got from him are holding up beautifully! They are Stellar 5000, Stellar 7000, and Casa Professional. He said he bought them at TKMaxx.

The thing is when I moved here the metal utensils were all that DH had aside from one wooden spoon! LOL I am going to throw out all the metal utensils once we get a new set!

Maybe you aren't cooking right? lol! I really love SS pans, I only use non stick for things like frying eggs or making pancakes. I do love Calphalon also.

I think I may give stainless steel another shot. The set I had before wasn't top of the line or anything so I'll blame my bad experience with them on the fact that my stove at the time was crap and the quality of the pans weren't great. It couldn't have been my cooking 

Another vote for John Lewis's own brand of non-stick (I love my Teflon!) pans here. We got a set for a wedding present and they've been amazing!

As for cast iron, I've had good luck sourcing things dirt cheap at car boot sales. When it comes to cast iron, I generally think older is better (provided they've been looked after).

I also have some old Le Creuset that belonged to my mother and I adore it. TK Maxx often sells LC at really good prices, so you might want to stop in there and have a look around. They seem to have colours I don't like for cookware (i.e., powder blue and pale pink), but they work just as well as my classic orange ones!

We have a mock Le Creuset casserole dish from Aldi that's fantastic.  We also bought IKEA 365 pots and pans some nonstick some regular.

Me:  FORK!

Haha ...she we have some stainless steal ones which DH uses b/c he is afraid to ruin the "good" ones
