We have some cheapo stainless steel pots and one Tefal non-stick frying pan. I hate those pots, but I know I would probably like stainless steel more if they were actually half-decent. I have a set of Rachel Ray non-stick pots and pans back in the US that I got as a gift for graduating undergrad. I plan to bring them back here once we live somewhere with a gas hob, since they advise against using them on the crappy electric hob we have now.
I do get a bit weirded out about non-stick, from time to time, but they seem to be fine as long as you treat them properly. Though, I'll probably phase those Rachel Ray ones out once I actually get a chance to wear them out!
