US Passport Renewal by Mail
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:57:56 AM »
We're going to renew DH's US passport soon and do it by post. I have been looking at the 2 options online - using royal mail special delivery or DX Secure courier service. I've read pretty bad things about DX secure (although i had no probelms with them returning my UK passport last year) but similarly a colleagues passport was stolen from a special delivery envelope when it was on its way to the chinese embassy.

Has anyone done a postal renewal recently and if so what delivery method did you use and how was it?

Thanks in advance!!

I did mine in January and it was really quick!

I used Royal Mail Special Delivery. Good luck! :)

Late October last year for me, too around 3.5 weeks. Sent (and returned) via RM Special Delivery, no problems.
