Funk It Up About Nothin' at Theatre Royal Stratford East
« on: March 18, 2011, 03:53:14 PM »
Hello everyone,

London is celebrating this Spring, with the Royal Wedding just weeks away and the 2012 Olympic Games finally on the horizon. Here in Stratford the party begins with international hip-hop hit Funk It Up About Nothin’, coming to E15 all the way from the Tony Award-winning Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

“I defy you...to come out without a gigantic grin on your face” 5 Stars - Time Out

Funk It Up About Nothin’ remixes Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, injecting it with a modern hip-hop sensibility in an American accent. If you’re bored with classic Shakespeare productions or you’ve never thought Shakespeare was for you, then see this: with a live DJ performing on stage, it’s fresh, original and guaranteed fun (for anyone 14+ - this Bard gets bawdy!). All tickets are £15 (concessions £12). The fun doesn’t stop when the show ends—see the enclosed leaflet for more details.

“Downright irresistible” Chicago Sun Times

The rest of Spring/Summer looks pretty rosy too. We premiere Britain’s next hit musical Takeaway along with new show Touch by Boy Blue Entertainment (Pied Piper), verbatim drama Mad Blud and much, much more.

Book tickets now for one, two or all of the shows in our Spring/Summer season by visiting newcomer link: http://www.stratfordeast.com [nonactive] or calling Box Office on 020 8534 0310. We pride ourselves on not charging a booking fee, and for providing a great night out in the heart of East London.
