Hey all,
My name is Rick and I am currently living in New York City. My wife, Jayne, is a British Citizen and we got married on New Year's Eve 2010 in the UK. We are currently awaiting our response from the Consulate in NY about my settlement visa. I am planning to move to the UK in May into my wife's flat in Bolton.
I have read many of the threads here and all I can say is that it's nice to find a group of people who understand exactly what we are going through. Checking my email 50 times a day to see if I have been issued my visa seems crazy to some, but I'm sure it's the norm to all of you.
For your benefit, I will post my timeline thus far...
Met Online (chatroulette) May 1st, 2010

So just awaiting that final email for now. I can't wait to receive it, I miss my wife terribly. In the meantime, we are taking our honeymoon (long overdue) on a cruise to Florida and Bahamas that leaves Easter Sunday. Hopefully we will be celebrating my successful visa application!
