I would always pack some Frosted Cheerios, butterscotch chips, tootsie pops and some Sugar Babies.  (What a sweet tooth!)
And some Cover Girl makeup and a large bottle of Ibuprofen.

Since coming back to the states I've overindulged in all the things I missed.  Now I'm craving some cornish pasties and sticky toffee pudding.   :)

I think a lot about food from the states, but never enough to actually bring much back.  My last visit brought Penzeys regular and medium chili powders and jerk seasoning, simply organic seasoning mix, packets of annies mac and cheese, hot fudge, tootsie pops and tons of baby clothes. For british friends I brought crystal light, hersheys chocolate and twizzlers.

I will be asking my sister to bring alieve (costco makes it so cheap!) More baby clothes mac and cheese sauce and more hot fudge. If any one knows where I can get that here, please help me! I may be adding oyster crackers to my list now though.

I'm going back this summer too - only my second trip since I moved here in 2003. The only thing I'll be bringing back with me is a large bottle of ibuprofen. I don't miss anything else.

Perhaps its not the same as getting it from home, but you can get most of the food items listed here from The Stateside Candy Company and shipping is only £4.50

Golden Oreos have found their way onto my list, along with Carmex lip balm.

Because we are so close to going back, I will wait and get things there for that 'comfort from home' feel to everything. I will cetainly be using that link before the next trip though, for when I need things to tide me over to the next trip. :)

We always bring back a bottle of Ken's Honey Mustard (one for us, one for my parents), three muskateers bars, reeces peanut butter cups (a giant bag for sharing!) and any types of random M&Ms that you cant get here (peanut butter, pretzel, coconut etc) I love shopping in Target and can't wait to go back in November!!

I guess I could make a list, but in reality, I don't miss anything that much that I'd want to weigh down my suitcase with it.  I'd probably just indulge in stuff while I was there and then try to forget it all until the next visit.

I agree. I found when I brought stuff back I would just squirrel it away at the back of the cupboard and then it would go off.  :-\\\\

For us, we usually bring back:

Costco Musts:
Pepto Bismal
Advil
Benedryl
Asprin

Supermarkets:
Honey Nut Cheerios
Twizzlers
Hershey Kisses
Pretzel M&Ms (though in town theres a shop now selling a small selection of American sweets, though £1.10 for a snack size bag..)
Ranch Dressing
Mac n Cheese

Clothes:
Hanes ankle sport socks
Bras & panties
Jeans
Tshirts
Sneakers (Im exactly a half size and they dont exist here)

When we travel we bring 2 suitcases and large backpacks and FILL them to the maximum. When we went back in 2007 we brought back 4 suitcases and shipped stuff back as well - but the exchange rate was really good (over $2 to £1) so we took advantage.

Im pretty lucky my Mom or sister will randomly send me Ranch dressing packets or Mac N Cheese as its cheap and easy to ship. If I ask nicely, theyll buy me stuff and Ill transfer them back money as well.. They also work for me sending them Tylenol with Codeine...

I was just thinking recently there's a lot of things I won't miss -- or there's no point in missing -- because they're no longer made or the store closed or whatever. You just can't get the exact same thing. No point in craving Brigham's ice cream when the chain is gone forever (OK, they supposedly sold the recipe to Hoods but it's not the same  :\\\'()

Bras & panties

Those are on my list too. I just can't seem to find them to suit me here, because the sizing is different.

Or hydrox cookies- which are, IMHO, far superior to Oreos...

Bras dont seem to have enough support in the back (most I can find is 3 clasps, while Lane Bryants bras in my size ahve 4) and the under wear here feels so cheap yet so much more pricier than back home. [/thread hi-jack]

I only buy my underwear, socks, bras, sneakers, jeans, & shirts while in the US as well. I guess I'm picky I ONLY like Hanes Her Way ankle socks & undies. an I only like Skechers sneakers as well I know they are here in the UK but they cost just about 2 times more than for I would pair for 1 pair back home. ::)  :P dont get me started on the amount of other stuff we bring back my list is huge. ::)  :P
