dont get me started on the amount of other stuff we bring back my list is huge. ::)  :P

Let's hear it Shugga! :D

I don't know that I would say bras are better quality here but they certainly have more of a selection as far as size goes. When I was in the US I had a very hard time finding a bra in my size, even at Lane Bryant! Here I can go into pretty much any department shop and find one on the rack.

Feminax Ultra is only legally licenced to be sold for period pain though, so if you need to use it for other types of pain you have to get it on prescription... so in that case, it could be better/easier to bring it back from the US :).

Ill be bringing a huge bottle back from America as well but mean while I just go and say I have bad menstrual cramps and they hand em over . naproxen is the only thing that helps my back pains . not like there gonna check to see if I'm lying lol ;D

For sure! I have an odd size because I'm a very small band size and a large cup size. But Debenhams always has something in my size that fits great! And they're cheaper. Not only that, but I can get the pretty ones in my size. ;) I used to be limited in that way. I could never even find my size at shops back in the states, and always wound up wearing bras with a larger band size than I needed.
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Ha, I suppose one 'advantage' to having an inflammatory autoimmune condition is that I get heavy duty naproxen on prescription by the bucketful. So aleve doesn't end up on my list  :P

Of course, that means I actually have a reason to use them by the bucketful  :-\\\\

I have the same issue with small band size and large cup size and was getting my bras from Bravissimo, then I discovered I could get the same brands/sizes for 1/3 to 1/2 the price on Ebay.

I agree with you on that one! In the US when I was lucky enough to find one in my size they were always plain and looked like granny bras!  :( I love that I can buy a pretty bra in my size AND feel sexy in it!  ;D

Oh that's a good tip!  I'm planning to go to Bravissimo soon to have an updated fitting, so I'll probably get 1 or 2 from there, but then I could check out the Ebay option for additional stocks.

Mine are getting old & overly stretched out.  (yes that can be taken more than one way - lol!)  :-[ :P

I have a huge problem finding bras in any country- I have a huge band and a small cup size.  I thought fat women were supposed to have big boobs! Instead I have small ones.  :-\\\\

Have you been for a real, proper bra fitting before (not at Lane Bryant - theirs was rubbish!)?  You might be surprised on the outcome of a fitting - I know I was.  :)

I did when I was a lot, lot, lot skinnier- but I haven't now.  I guess I probably should!

Well M&S do them, but TBH - I wasn't impressed with theirs either.  I went to a small specialist shop in Harrogate for the first time, and then Bravissimo after that.  What I found out was that I was wearing a band size that was too big, and a cup size that was too small - and I am a big gal.  Obviously, YMMV, but you might end up the same, you never know.  ;)

When they first told me the correct size, I was all  :o

But you could really tell a big difference in the shape it gave me.  ;)

I go every other year or so for a new fitting though, because I've lost & gained weight since I've been here, things shift around and my size has changed over time.  :P

Mrs Robinson, you mentioned that on another thread a year or so ago, and the next time I went bra shopping, I tried a bunch of different band/cup combos, and it turned out you were right--the best fit was a larger cup and smaller band.  So belated thanks!  I'm so much more comfortable now!

You're welcome.  :)

Bravissimo's website has a good, detailed guide to bra-fitting, if someone wants to DIY rather than have someone help you find the right fit.

Bravissimo's bra fitting rocks.  I found out I was wearing a bra that was about 4 band sizes too big and 3 cups too small! I still don't quite believe the size, but I love my bra.  I just can't bring myself to actually buy other brands in a similar size so they are all probably a horrible fit :/
