Just wondering what is considered a 'good' price these days? (Not in July, but just generally)
I am looking to book roundtrip tickets for a general time frame end of Sept to early/mid-October, not sure on dates yet. Looking at either Manchester to NYC, Manchester to the Baltimore/Washington area, or out from Leeds-Bradford to either NYC or Baltimore/Washington area. I am finding flights in the range of £450-600 apiece, is that about right?
I know people sometimes say we'd get a cheaper deal flying out of London, but I generally find that to be a false economy. Once we add on our train (or otherwise) travel down there, maybe overnight in a hotel if needed, there's nothing in it or it may end up even more expensive.
ETA: I've not been back since May 2009, so no idea what the going rate is these days! Before that, I used to book 2- or 3-destination (multi-destination) trips to the US for about £1200 for the both of us all-in.
