A new book for parents by an American living in Britain
« on: May 11, 2011, 06:49:38 AM »
I wanted to post an announcement about a book I have written called Bringing Up Brits: Expat parents raising cross-cultural children in Britain. It's about my own experience and also those of other parents from all over the world.

The book is being released July 4th! If anyone is in the Worthing/Brighton area, you are most welcome to come to the book launch party. All details are on the website www.bringingupbrits.co.uk

I've been writing this book for over 2 years and I'm so excited that's it will be coming out soon.

Welcome Meg,  I had actually already mentioned the book on another thread as we have a friend in common who told me about it (Naomi).  Looking forward to reading it.

I wanted to post a link to the photos from the book launch party. And I also wanted to post a call to action: if you would like to share your story, please get in touch with me. I'm putting more stories on the website - there are some fascinating people living in Britain from lots of different countries all doing the same thing!

Share your story: www.bringingupbrits.co.uk/story.html

And read what people are saying about the book: www.bringingupbrits.co.uk/feedback.html

I've had some very interesting and moving feedback.

Hi Meg,

I just bought the book - for my wife :)

We're thinking of moving to the UK this year. We have two young daughters. My wife is American-Puerto Rican and I'm British.
